A redshirt sophomore who is the squad's most experienced defensive tackle... Has the ability to develop into a very good player at tackle... Co-recipient of defensive unit's Best Effort Award this spring... Has played in 13 regular season games with one start for 396 plays... Also started 1999 Orange Bowl... 31 career tackles, three quarterback sacks (-19), two TBL (-5), five forced QB hurries, one pass deflection, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble... 1998 - Played in 10 of 11 regular season games (all but Vanderbilt due to foot injury) with one start (Florida State) for 333 plays... Also started Orange Bowl... The top backup to Reggie McGrew, a first-round pick in the 1999 NFL Draft by San Francisco, at right tackle... 27 tackles and 11 "Big Plays" (four TTFL (-18), one FR, one PD and five FH) on the year... 11 "Big Plays" ranked fifth on defensive line unit... Named to Florida's prestigious Super Seniors Team and was a first-team All-State (3A) selection for two seasons... SuperPrep named him its Dixie Defensive Player of the Year... Credited with 36 quarterback sacks in his career... Union County High School was 494 with three state titles in his four years at the school... Was named to the Honor Roll all four years...
