A redshirt senior who is one of the nation's premier tight ends...Drafted in the fifth round by the San Francisco 49ers with the 161st overall choice in the 2003 NFL Draft.

CAREER: Played in 47 games, with 29 starts, for 1,815 plays...Also played in the 2000 Citrus Bowl and the 2002 Orange Bowl and started the 2001 Sugar Bowl...56 career receptions for 716 yards (12.7 avg.) and nine touchdowns...2001 SEC Academic Honor Roll...The starting designated hitter for the Gator baseball team when it opened the 1999 season...

2002: Starter at tight end who also played on extra point/field goal, kick return, and punt coverage teams...Started all 13 games, including the 2003 Outback Bowl, and saw action on 941 plays...Named Second-Team All-SEC by AP and league coaches...Selected to play in the Senior Bowl and the Hula Bowl...Averaged 13.9 yards per catch, tied for third on squad...Caught a pass in 12 of 13 games (all but Ole Miss)...14 of 27 catches were in the last five games...27 catches rank fourth on the UF squad and best by a UF tight end since Kirk Kirkpatrick caught 55 passes in 1990...Surpassed 2001 season totals in receptions and yards in only nine games this season...27 catches was just two shy of three-year total before senior season...Named a Gator game captain the week of the Ohio game...Caught Florida's first touchdown in win over SEC rival Georgia...Combined with Ben Troupe for eight catches for 111 yards in the Georgia game...Had a game-high 65 receiving yards vs. Miami and posted the game's longest reception of 24 yards...

2001: Emerged as one of the top tight ends in the SEC...Ranked among the nation's top 20 tight ends by The Sporting News in its annual preseason rankings...Started nine of 11 regular season games (all but Georgia and Vanderbilt), for 475 plays, and also played in the Orange Bowl...16 catches for 179 yards (11.2) and two touchdown...16 receptions and 179 yards receiving were tops among tight ends and fifth overall on squad...Set career highs in receptions (5) and receiving yards (88) vs. LSU...SEC Academic Honor Roll selection...Received the offensive unit's most consistent award during spring drills...

2000: Emerged as the top TE as the season progressed...Played in all 12 regular season games with seven starts (Middle Tennessee, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Auburn, Georgia, Vanderbilt and Florida State)...Also started the Sugar Bowl...12 receptions for 148 yards (12.3 average) and three TDs...452 plays ranked first for a tight end...Third on squad in TD receptions with three...12 receptions tied for first for a tight end...Caught first two TD passes of his career, 14 and 19 yards in first career start vs. Middle Tennessee...Had one reception for a career-long 23 yards vs. Mississippi State...Had two receptions for 26 yards and one touchdown vs. Florida State...Injured an ankle early in spring drills playing basketball and missed the majority of spring practice...

1998: Did not see any game action and was redshirted...Worked with the scout team at tight end...

PREP: A top prep tight end prospect who received All-American recognition...Named to SuperPrep All-America Team and that publication ranked him among the top seven tight end prospects in the nation...Named to PrepStar's All-America Team and that publication ranked him the top tight end prospect in the southeast...Named one of the top 10 TE prospects in the country by National Bluechips Recruiting Service...Selected to Florida's prestigious Super Seniors Team...Honorable mention All-America recognition from USA Today...First-team all-state (4A) honors in 1997...As a tight end in '97 caught 36 passes for 497 yards and two TDs while also recording 82 tackles with 14 QB sacks as a defensive end...A three-year starter at Astronaut HS at defensive end and a two-year starter at tight end...Lettered in three sports: football, basketball and baseball...A National Honor Society member (3.66 GPA)...Named to Who's Who Among American High School Students...Served as a peer tutor for local elementary schools...High school coach was Steve Hackett...
