An experienced fifth year senior who played defensive tackle and defensive end during his Gator career...Played in 38 regular season games with 16 starts for 1,402 plays and also played in the 1998 Citrus Bowl and 2001 Sugar Bowl and started both the 1999 Orange Bowl and 2000 Citrus Bowl...Received UF's 1999 Rex Farrior Award as team-oriented player who exhibits leadership on and off the field...Registered 87 career tackles and 31.5 "Big Plays" (2.5 QB sacks (-15), six TBL (-14.5), three pass deflections, four FR and 16 FH)

2000 Season
An experienced fifth-year senior who played a top role at defensive tackle...Battled Derrick Chambers throughout the season for starting tackle spot opposite Gerard Warren...Played in 10 of 12 games (missed the Middle Tennessee game and the SEC Championship game vs. Auburn with an ankle sprain) with four starts (Kentucky, Mississippi State, Auburn and Georgia) and a total of 312 plays...Also played in the Sugar Bowl...Received defensive unit's best effort award this spring...25 tackles on the season with nine "Big Plays" (one TBL (-1), one FR and seven FH) ...312 plays is fifth most for a defensive linemen...Three tackles and one "Big Play" (one FH) vs. Kentucky...Five tackles and one "Big Play" (one TBL (-1)) vs. LSU...Three tackles and four "Big Plays" (one FR and three FH) vs. Auburn...Four tackles and one "Big Play" (one forced QB hurry) against Georgia

1999 Season
Starter at tackle in each of UF's 12 games for 577 plays... Also started Citrus Bowl... Received UF's Rex Farrior Award as team-oriented player who exhibits leadership on and off the field... 33 tackles and 14 "Big Plays" (three TBL (-7.5), one QB sack (-7), three FR, two PD and five FH) on the year... 14 "Big Plays" ranked third on the defensive line and seventh on the team... 33 total tackles ranked third on defensive line unit... Three tackles and two "Big Plays" (one TBL (-2.5) and one FH) vs. Western Michigan... Two tackles and three "Big Plays" (two FR and one FH) vs. UCF... Three tackles and one "Big Play" (one TBL (-3)) vs. Tennessee before suffering an ankle injury... Five tackles and two "Big Plays" (one QB sack (-7) and one TBL (-2)) vs. LSU... Four tackles and two "Big Plays" (one FR and one PD) vs. Georgia... Three tackles and one "Big Play" (one PD) vs. Florida State... 1998 Season
Played in seven regular season games (The Citadel, Northeast Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, Vanderbilt and South Carolina) with two starts at tackle (Vanderbilt, South Carolina) for 217 plays... Also started at end in Orange Bowl vs. Syracuse... Played a top backup role at defensive end before suffering a knee injury, which sidelined him for Kentucky, Alabama, LSU and Auburn games... 16 tackles and 6.5 "Big Plays" (1.5 QB sacks (-8), two TBL (-6) and three forced hurries) on the year... First career start vs. Vanderbilt came at tackle due to injuries to Reggie McGrew and Gerard Warren (four tackles, one TBL (-1) and one FH in that game)... Six tackles, one QB sack (-5) and one forced QB hurry vs. South Carolina as a starter... Three tackles, 0.5 QB sack (-3) and one TBL (-5) vs. Florida State... A co-recipient of the defensive squad's Most Unselfish Award during spring.

1997 Season
Played in 10 of 11 games (all but Arkansas with a shoulder injury) for 236 plays... Also played in Citrus Bowl... Started the season as a backup at end, but played primarily at tackle... 13 tackles, one pass deflection and one forced QB hurry on season... Averaged 23.6 plays per game... One tackle in 13 plays at end in first Gator appearance vs. Southern Mississippi... Two tackles vs. Central Michigan at end... One tackle vs. Kentucky before injuring his shoulder... Three tackles vs. Vanderbilt... Three tackles and one pass deflection vs. South Carolina... Named UF's Most Improved Defensive Lineman during spring.

1996 Season
Did not see any game action and was redshirted... Worked with the scout team at defensive end.

Prep
Considered one of the nation's top defensive prospects in 1995... A consensus prep All-America... First-team USA Today All-America... Bluechips Illustrated Dream Team... Gatorade Circle of Champions Player of the Year for the state of Florida... National Recruiting Advisor ranked him among the nation's top 10 prospects at "Rush-End" while Emfinger's National Blue Chips Report ranked him third in the country among prospects at strong-side linebacker... Named to Florida's prestigious Super Seniors Team... Registered 83 tackles (51 solo) with seven tackles for loss as a middle linebacker in 1995... High school coach was Mark Feely... One of the state's premier track standouts in the shot put and the discus.
