Edmund Boyd, Assistant Director of Athletic Equipment
Boyd has held his current position with the University Athletic Association since being hired on in 2006. Boyd works directly with the Gator Baseball team. His main responsibilities revolve around ordering and accounting for all of the baseball team’s equipment needs, as well as directing actual game-day equipment efforts for the team. He also oversees a staff of seven student managers.
Boyd, a native of Fresno and then Ridgecrest, CA, earned a B.S. degree in administrative management from the University of Arkansas in 1989. He then earned a Master’s degree in recreation management in 1990. Boyd also has experiences of working in the intramural sports program at the University of Florida, as well as assisting with game-day operation for the Gator baseball and football programs. Boyd and his wife, Barbara, have three children; Tommy, Katherine, and Penelope.
