2011: Recorded personal bests in all three races she competed in during the 2011 season as a sophomore…Raced in the Western Carolina Invite, UF’s Mountain Dew Invitational and the 2011 SEC Championship meet…Scored seventh for Florida in the two-mile race in Cullowhee (11:41.07), while finishing ninth for the Orange and Blue at both the MDI (19:30.32) in the 5K and at SECs (23:21.94) in the 6K race.

2010: Ran in just one cross country meet her first year on campus for the Gators…Competed at the 2010 Pre-NCAA Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind., where she crossed sixth for UF with a 6K time of 23:57.9.

Prep: Coached by Ron Norris at Buchholz High School from 2006-08…Coached by Carole Shepardson at Winter Park High School from 2009-10…Was the Orlando Sentinel Female Athlete of the Year…Named the Winter Park High School Female Athlete of the Year…Awarded as a member of the USA Today High School All-American Track and Field Team in 2010, after winning the FHSAA Class 4A State Championships in the 1,600m and 3,200m…Placed fifth at Footlocker South Regional in 2009 and qualified for Nationals…Finished second at the Jim Ryun High School Dream Mile in 2010…Finished sixth in the two mile at New Balance Nationals in 2010, gaining All-American status… Part of the 2008 FHSAA 4A Cross Country Team Runner-Up…Part of the 2009 FHSAA 4A Cross Country Team State Champions…A member of the 2010 FHSAA 4A 4x800m Relay State Champions…Won the 800m run in the 2010 Golden South Classic…Recorded personal-best marks of 2:11.54 (800m), 4:43.00 (1,600m), 9:47.22 (3,000m), 10:27 (2-mile) and 17:12.00 (5,000m) entering college… Hayes set the Florida high school state mile record with a time of 4:43.00.
