Highlights: SEC Freshman of the Year in 2008 … All-SEC in 2008 and 2009 … Freshman All-SEC team in 2008 … All-South Region in 2008 and 2009 … SEC Freshman of the Week on Oct. 7, 2008 … SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll in 2008-09 … SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2009-10 USTFCCCA Academic All-American in 2009 … Five top-10 finishes … Placed first overall in first-ever collegiate meet … Holds five top-10 times in UF history, including the third-best time at the NCAA Championship on a 6K course (21:00.3) and the fourth-best 6K NCAA South Regional time (20:44.83) … Holds the fourth spot for 5K time on the UF Golf Course by a Gator (17:34.79) and the sixth spot for an 6K SEC Championship time (20:49.73) … Also has the ninth-best 6K time in Gator history (20:44.83) … Personal bests of 17:15 (5K) and 20:44.83 (6K).


2009: Scored in all six meets competed in … Fourth Gator to cross the finish line at the NCAA Championship, finishing 96th overall … Earned All-South Region honors for an 11th-place finish at the regional meet, recording a career-best 6K time … Named the All-SEC team for a seventh-place finish at the conference meet … Tallied a 24th-place finish at the Pre-NCAA Invitational and a 26th-place finish at the Notre Invitational … Recorded a second-place overall finish at the Mountain Dew Inviational.


2008: Scored in all six meets and was the first Gator to cross the finish line three times, including at the NCAA South Regional and the NCAA Championship … Earned All-SEC and Freshman All-SEC team honors for a sixth-place finish at the conference championship meet … Also was the first freshman to finish that race… Named to the All-South Region team for a fifth-place finish at the regional meet … Won the Mountain Dew Invitational, setting the fifth-best Gator Invitational time (17:34.79) in the meet’s history … Earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors on Oct. 7 for a 31st-place finish at the Notre Dame Invitational, setting a personal-best 5K time (17:15) … Finished 75th at the National Championship meet.


Track Highlights: Outdoor Freshman Runner of the Year in 2009 … All-SEC Outdoor first team in 2009 … Named SEC Freshman of the Week three times in 2009 … Four career first-place finishes … Won the 2009 SEC steeplechase title after only running the race once prior … Freshman school-record holder in the steeplechase and the 5,000m … NCAA Outdoor Championships qualifier in the 5,000m, placing 27th overall … Recorded the second-best indoor 5,000m time in UF history with a second-place finish at the 2009 Alex Wilson Invitational (16:26.81) … Finished fourth in the 3,000m at the 2009 SEC Indoor Championships with a time of 9:25.10, good for seventh in the Gator record books … Held the top steeplechase mark in the SEC during the 2009 season (10:26.92), second-best all-time in school history … Ranked on three other top-10 outdoor performance charts at Florida (1,500m - 7th and 5,000m – 6th) … Finished fourth in the 3,000m at the 2010 SEC Indoor Championships and fifth in the 5,000m … Finished third in the 2010 SEC Outdoor Championships in the steeplechase … Personal bests of 4:46.60 (iMile), 9:25.10 (i3,000m), 16:26.81 (i5,000m), 4:20.90 (o1,500m), 16:13.60 (o5,000m) and 10:26.92 (Steeple).


Prep: Coached by David Howells … Took home three gold medals at the state championships for the 3K, 800m and 1,500m four consecutive years (2004-2007) … Won a gold at Nationals for the 3K in 2004 and 2006 … Placed third in the 1,500m at the 2004 and 2006 Nationals … Holds four regional records for the 3K, 800m 1,500m and 2K steeple … Queensland state team won the national triathlon title in 2007 and AMS Triathlon Club team was runner-up for the state title in 2005 … Also played touch football … State team won the national title in 2006 and Cobra club team took the title in 2007 … Captured the Player of the Tournament and State Finals in 2006 and 2007 … Won John Paul College’s Bradley Cup, given the best all-around athlete four years in a row (2004-2007) … Most memorable moment of athletic career was placing sixth individually as the team took fourth at the Cross Country World Schools’ Championship in Riccione, Italy in 2006.
