At University of Birmingham: Coached by Bud Baldaro … Placed third in the 2009 British University cross country championships and 11^th at the European cross country under-23 championships in Brussels … Was the 2008 British University 3,000m indoor champion … Also won the 2008 under-23 1,500m national championship event … Placed ninth at the 2008 Senior Women’s National Championship … Team took the gold at the World Student Cross Country Championships and the European Under-23 Cross Country Championships in 2008 … Also were the runners-up in the 2006 and 2007 Under-20 English National Cross Country Relay Championships… Three-time British University cross country champion (2006-08) … Named 2008 Birmingham University Sports Personality of the Year … Also competed for Cannock and Stafford AC in the UK … Graduated with a degree in Sport, Physical Education and Community Studies. 

Prep: Second in the 1,500m event only to UF teammate Charlotte Browning at the 2003 Under-17  National Championships … 2003 Under-17 UKA cross country championship series … Recorded the fastest leg as the team took first in the 2003 U-17 National Road Relay Championships … Team took second at the English National Relay Championships in 2003 …

Personal: Daughter of Richard and Caren Johnson … Has an older sister, Jemma, and a younger sister, Chelsea … Enjoys cooking, drawing and writing poems … Admires Kelly Holmes for her double Olympic golds after many injuries, demonstrating that all struggles are part of the journey toward achieving your dreams … Did not pick up athletics until age 14 and was originally a shot putter … Chose UF for the strength and depth of the cross country and track programs, the great facilities, the team spirit and the great academics.
