Highlights: SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2008-09 … SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll in 2007-08 … One top-10 finish … Personal bests of 17:36 (5K) and 21:37.3 (6K).

2008: Consistent scorer for the Gators, tallying fifth-place finishes for UF in four meets … Recorded a sixth-place finish at the Mountain Dew Invitational … Set a career-best 5K time at the Notre Dame Invitational (17:36) and 6K time at the NCAA Championship.

2007: Competed in three events on the season ... Ran a 5K season-best time at the Tiger Invitational in 18:16.70 ... Finished 10^th twice, at the Mountain Dew Invitational (18:51.04) and the SEC Championship (23:01.78). 

Track Highlights: Ranks ninth in UF indoor record books for a 4:45.79 indoor mile time … Anchored the distance medley team that won the 2008 Tom Jones Memorial Invitational in Gainesville … Ran the first leg of the first-place distance medley team at the 2009 Big 12/SEC Showdown … Also placed second in the mile at the showdown … Qualified for the 2009 NCAA East Regionals in the 1,500m … Placed second in the 1,500m at the Ole Miss May Invitational in 2008 … Personal bests of 2:12.98 (o800m), 4:45.79 (iMile), 4:26.56 (o1,500m) and 10:06.89 (steeple).

Prep: Coached by Peter Blount and Rebecca Sparks … Earned high school All-America honors in 2007 with a sixth-place finish in the mile at the National Scholastic Indoor Championship … Won the 2007 class 3A state title in the 1,600m … Cape Coast Conference cross country champion three years … Cape Coast Conference 800m champion three years … Finished third in class 3A in the 800m in 2005 and 2006 … All-Space Coast track and cross country honoree four years … Named Florida Today’s All-Space Coast Track Athlete of the Year in 2007 … Satellite Beach team won the 3A State Cross Country title in 2005 and 2006 … Also swam in high school and was a state qualifier in both the 200 and 500-yard freestyle … Named a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American in 2004.

Personal: Daughter of Randall and Kathleen Shiver … Both parents and maternal grandparents are UF alumni … Has two younger sisters, Ashley and Nicole … Ashley is a freshman runner at Georgia … Enjoys scuba diving  … Chose Florida because of the coaching staff and location.
