Prep: Coached by Jim Zander, Travis Hall and Gail Bottone … Four-year Hillsborough County First-Team All-Western Conference … Cross country team won the 2005 and 2006 regional championships, the 2005, 2006 and 2007 district championships and the 2006 Hillsborough County championship … District, regional and state qualifier all four years in cross country and track … Three-time cross country team captain (2007-09) … 2009 FHSAA Class 4A State 800m bronze medalist … Also placed sixth in the 1,600m and won the 4x800m relay at the same state meet … 4x800m team took seventh  in 2008 … 4x800m team won the 2007 and 2009 regional championship … Two-time district champion (2008, 09) in the 800m and 4x800m team three-time (2007, 08, 09) district winners … Hillsborough County champion as park of the 4x800m team in 2007 and 2008 … Holds records at Sickles for distance medley relay and 4x800m … 2009 Hillsborough County school Board Scholar-Athlete Award recipient.

Personal: Son of Diane and the late Gary Wehunt … Twin brother, Derek, also runs at UF … Has a younger sister, Emily … Enjoys playing video games and reading … Also considered Florida State, UCF, USF and Florida Southern … Chose Florida because of its perfect combination of academics and athletics.
