Prep: Coached by Terry and Sherman Smith … Runner-up in the 1,600m at the 2009 FHSAA Class 4A state track meet … Took home the district titles in 2008 and 2009 in the 1,600m, 800m and 4x800m relay … Holds the school records for the same events … Finished second at the 2009 RunningZone.com All-Star Showdown in the 1,600m mixed event.

Personal: Son of David and Dawn Leonard … Has four younger brothers, Brad, Dean, Noah and Nick … He has only been running cross country for one year … Enjoys playing videogames, watching movies and playing tennis … Admires his high school coaches and credits them with helping him run at UF … Chose Florida for the academics and to better himself.
