Highlights: SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2007-08 and 2008-09 … Three top-10 finishes … Personal bests of 24:46.49 (8K), 24:39 (5-mile) and 33:42.7 (10K).


2008: Ran for the Gators in four meets, scoring in three … Tallied a fourth-place finish at the Mountain Dew Invitational … Set a personal-best 5-mile time with a 57th-place finish, fourth among UF runners, at the Notre Dame Invitational.


2007: Competed in three events … Ran an 8K career-best with at the Tiger Invitational, earning second top-10 finish and placing 10th overall, seventh among Gators.


2006: Competed in five races … Earned first collegiate top-10 finish at the Tampa Early Bird Classic … Ran 25:01.18 at the Mountain Dew Invitational and placed 11th overall… Also competed in the Notre Dame Invitational, SEC Championship and South Regional Championship.


Track Highlights: Set a personal best in the 5,000m at the 2008 Outdoor Florida State Relays, finishing eighth … Recorded a personal best in the 1,500m outdoor run a the 2009 Seminole Twilight Invitational, finishing 10th … Personal bests of 8:29.21 (i3,000m), 3:55.91 (o1,500m) and 14:55.07 9o5,00m).


Prep: Coached by Paul Katauskas … All-state honors with a third-place finish at the 2005 Class 4A state cross country meet … Was also the regional runner-up, district champion and Metro Conference champion in the 2005 cross country season … Was the Class 4A state runner up in the 1,600m in 2006 … Earned third place in the 3,200m senior season … Left leg was hit by a car in February 2005, but recovered enough to compete in the 3,200m in district and regional championships in April … Lists the most memorable moment of athletic career as running under 10 minutes in the 3,200m for the first time and running a 25-second personal best.


Personal: Son of Hahns and Carol Kindt … Father is a train conductor and mother is a principal … Mother graduated from Florida … Has a younger brother, Zachary … Admires Steve Prefontaine for his “no fear” attitude … Chose Florida because he has been a Gator since the day he was born.
