The Gators wrapped up their SEC schedule on Saturday with a 14-7 win over Missouri.

Florida improved to 8-1 and finished 7-1 in the SEC. Here is what they wrote following the latest win in a comeback season for the Gators:

--The Gators shrugged off a scoreless first half to overcome Missouri in a not-so-pretty win writes David Jones of Florida Today.

--Florida doesn't always win pretty but Orlando Sentinel columnist Mike Bianchi says the Gators should not have to apologize for that.

--The Gators deserve applause for their 7-1 SEC finish writes Gainesville Sun columnist Pat Dooley.

--Gators freshman defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard played with a heavy heart Saturday in this notebook from Joe Morgan of the Sentinel.

--Gators true freshman DE Dante Fowler Jr. had a good first career start writes Antonya English of the Tampa Bay Times.

--Florida's record is pretty even if the way Gators win isn't writes Greg Stoda of the Palm Beach Post.

--Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post offers his SEC Bowl projections and where Gators might fit.

--Florida's defenses relishes challenge of picking up offense writes Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com.

--Interceptions, blocked field goal played key role in Florida's win over Missouri writes Hays Carlyon of Florida Times-Union.

--I've got a confession: I fell asleep before end of what turned into a classic Alabama-LSU game on Saturday night. In case you missed it, here is a bonus link from ESPN.com recapping the game.
