Reidel Anthony was born in Pahokee, Fla.
Anthony (picture right vs. Alabama) garnered first-team All-America honors in 1996 after catching 72 passes -- the second-most in Southeastern Conference history -- for 1,293 yards (again, second-most by a Gator, and third-most by an SEC player) and a league-record 18 touchdowns, which led the nation.
Oh, and the Gators won the national championship that season.
When he left after that '96 season to enter the NFL draft, Anthony took with him 126 career receptions, 2,274 yard and 26 TDs. He did it all playing three seasons alongside Ike Hilliard, another first-team All-American.
Anthony was picked in the first-round of the NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 16th overall selection.
