Thursday September 27, 2012 UF volleyball hits road, Pease on LSU, Dunbar's role, plus more tidbits

Updated: 12:21pm, September 27

The Gators volleyball team is off on a two-game road swing to South Carolina (Friday, 7 p.m.) and Mississippi State (Sunday, 1:30 p.m.) this weekend.

I’m working on a story about Florida sophomore defensive specialist Holly Pole, who is a walk-on and has earned a starting job in her second season. Check out GatorZone.com for more on Pole later today.

Meanwhile, the football team holds its final practice of the week this afternoon and then will break for the weekend. The Gators are off on Saturday and return to action Oct. 6 against No. 3-ranked LSU at The Swamp.
