Winter Lacrosse Camps
This December, come join the University of Florida staff and players along with other Division I coaches and National Team players for our Annual Winter Camp! Enjoy 3 days of lacrosse in the sun and 2 nights in the Hilton Hotel! Build on basic skills and game concepts to bring your game to the next level at the Donald R. Dizney Lacrosse Stadium!
REGISTRATION: We are only accepting on line registration for camp.There is no fee for this service.
Follow these steps for registration:

- Agree to the Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement/Consent to Medical Treatment form
You will receive a confirmation email once you have completed your registration. This email will include all the information you will need for camp, as well as a link to the Physician Statement that must be printed, completed and faxed back to the lacrosse office #352-373-1432. A copy of a recent school physical maybe used in lieu of the physician’s signature. This document must be received no later than Friday, December 20, 2015.

RESIDENT FEE: $450 Includes 2 nights of housing at the premiere Hilton University of Florida Conference center and all meals and a total of 7 coaching sessions held on campus.

COMMUTER FEE: $375 Includes Lunch and Dinner and a total of 7 coaching sessions held on campus.

Goalkeepers will receive specialized training from outstanding coaches.
All keepers will train in a separate setting with individual instruction focusing on quickness, technique and game situations. Goalkeepers will also practice in skill session drills and be placed on a tournament team. We are only accepting 16 goalkeepers, guaranteeing more individual attention.

Campers will be housed 2 per room unless otherwise requested at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center, Gainesville's premier full service hotel. All rooms include 2 double beds and all the amenities including a workstation, high-speed ethernet connection, WebTV where you can surf the internet or access e-mail via a wireless laptop keyboard.Please Note:Movie rentals, room service and phone service willonlybe available with CASH payment. You will not be able to charge anything to the room. You will be responsible for any damages that may occur to the room.
ROOMMATE REQUEST DEADLINE
Requests must be registered by Friday, December 20st, 2015. All parties involved must request each other. If you request 3 or 4 to a room please note that you will be sharing beds. These requests are not guaranteed but we will do our best.
All meals will be provided. Pizza will be for sale after the evening session.
Camp will be conducted at the University of Florida Lacrosse Facility. The state-of-the-art Lacrosse Facility has lighted grass fields suitable for cleats or turf shoes.
AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE
Gainesville Airport: The Hilton University of Florida Conference Center runs a complimentary shuttle service to and from the Gainesville Regional Airport. Please contact the hotel in advance if you will be using this service.
Jacksonville Airport (JAX): We will be running a Shuttle Bus from Jacksonville Airport to the Hilton Hotel which will depart JAX on December 28, 2015 at 12:00pm. The cost is $80 round trip and must be paid for during online registration. Please fill out the appropriate flight information for our records. You may pay for the shuttle first then go back into your account at a later date and fill in the flight information. Please arrive into JAX Airport no later than 11:30am. The Shuttle Bus will depart the Hilton Hotel on December 30, 2015 for JAX Airport at 2:00pm. Please arrange returning flights no earlier than 5:30pm.
If cancellation due to injury or illness is made via email to firstname.lastname@example.org on or beforeSunday, December 20, 2015, a $150.00 cancellation fee will apply and the remainder refunded. Any other cancellations on or before 12/20/15, you will be refunded 50% of the camp fee. Any cancellations made after Friday, December 20, 2015 will result in no refund.
TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE
Wednesday’s schedule will vary slightly and include two coaching sessions.
WHAT TO BRING
Stick, goalie equipment (goalies only), goggles, mouth guard, gloves if applicable, cleats or turf shoes for grass, flip flops, 6 sessions worth of T-shirts, shorts, socks, rain gear, one sweat shirt, toiletries, sun block, a bathing suit for the outdoor pool and some cash for evening pizza and the camp store. YouDO NOT need sheets, blankets, pillows or towels. They will be provided by the hotel. We strongly suggest that you leave all jewelry and valuables at home. Camp and hotel staff will not be responsible for any lost items.
At registration, check-out and in the evenings there will be a camp store. Pizza will be available for sale after the evening sessions.
In December, the average high temperature is 70 degrees.
AMERICANS WITH DISABILITY ACT
Individuals with disabilities requiring special accommodation should contact the Camp Director, Amanda O’Leary by email, within seven (7) days of the first day of the camp so the proper consideration may be made to the request.
The Camp carries an EXCESS medical insurance policy to cover medical expenses for injuries/accidents, which occur in the course of the camps activities. Medical expenses which are declined payment through the participant's personal insurance and/or through the excess policy become the responsibility of the participant's parents/ guardians. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE TO PARTICIPATE.

From Tallahassee (or Pensacola)

From Daytona Beach

From St. Augustine
Take SR 207 south 27 miles to SR 100. Proceed west on SR 100 for 25 miles to Putnam Hall and turn left onto SR 26. Follow SR 26 to Gainesville. SR 26 becomes University Avenue. Take University Avenue to the intersection of University Avenue and 34th Street. Take a left onto 34th Street and the hotel will be one-half mile on the right-hand side.
From Gainesville Regional Airport
Proceed on the Airport access road south to 39th Avenue. Take a right on to 39th Avenue. Proceed West on 39th Avenue to the intersection of 39th Avenue and 34th Street. Take a left onto 34th Street and proceed for approximately five miles to the intersection of Hull Road and SW 34th Street. The hotel will be on the right-hand side.
Per NCAA rules, all sport camps and clinics conducted by The University of Florida Athletic Association are open to any and all entrants and enrollment is only limited based on age, grade level, gender, and/or number restrictions as specified by each camp.
- All campers are required to provide a Waiver of liability/Hold Harmless Agreement.
- All campers are required to provide a physician’s statement. A copy of a physical completed within one year prior to camp is acceptable in lieu of physician’s signature.
- All campers are required to have medical insurance.
For camps occurring prior to May 1, 2016, UAA policy allows participation in overnight/resident camps only for campers currently in 9th grade or higher for the 2015-16 academic year. For camps occurring after May 1, 2016, UAA policy allows participation in overnight/resident camps only for campers that will be in 9th grade or higher for the 2016-17 academic year. Please refer to each sport's camp page for additional information.
If the UAA cancels a camp for any reason, the camp is only responsible for a refund of fees paid to the camp as part of registration.
