The University of Florida Cheerleaders will be holding their annual Jr. Cheerleader on February 27th, 2015!
Check-in begins at 3:00pm at the Practice Court of the Stephen C. O'Connell Center located at Gate 4. The clinic will officially kick-off at 3:30pm and end with a visit by Albert the Alligator and a performance at the Gator Women's Gymnastics LINK TO PINK Meet at 6:30pm! Parents will need to pick up their cheerleader at 5:30pm for a 30 minute break and be dropped back off at Gate 4 in the practice court at 6pm wearing their Junior Cheerleader T-Shirt (most likely will be PINK this year). Jr. Cheerleaders will need to be picked up DIRECTLY following the performance at Gate 4.
All cheerleaders will receive a Jr. Cheerleader T-shirt, Official 2014-2015 Gator Cheerleading Poster, and 1 adult ticket included per participant. Extra tickets for the meet are available for purchase at Gate 1 of the O’Connell Center the day of the event (Youth gets in for FREE). The minimum age for participation is 5 years old and the maximum is 8th grade. Any Jr. Cheerleader under the age of 8 years old must have a parent or guardian present for the entirety of the clinic.
The registration fee is $39.50 plus processing fee and is available ONLINE ONLY. We will NOT be taking walk ups this year and capacity will be set at 300 Jr. Cheerleader’s.
The cheerleaders will face the stands between Gates 2 and 3 during their pre-meet performance. Cheerleaders should wear closed-toed shoes or sneakers for the clinic and performance.
