- Judy Traveis
Responsibilities: Provides academic counseling and tutoring services to Gator student-athletes in the sports of women’s basketball, cross country and gymnastics
Joined UF Staff: Began working with the University Athletic Association in October of 2006, but her experiences at the University of Florida extend several years; 2012-13 is her seventh season working with women’s basketball
Prior to UF: Worked with UF’s College of Health and Human Performance since December of 2000, leaving as the Director for Undergraduate Student Affairs, a post she received in July of 2004. In that role, oversaw the Office of Student Affairs and helped establish college curriculum updates, while supervising updates of degree audits for all majors within the College; before that appointment, worked as an academic advisor at the College for over three years, including the last as Associate Academic Advisor.
Education: Univ. of Florida (Bachelor’s 1993; Master’s 1999); is working on her Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Policy, pending graduation.
Hometown: Boca Raton, Fla.
Behind the Stats: Judy gave birth to twin boys Gabe and Luke on March 1, 2010. Luke was born with Trisomy 18 and peacefully passed away five days later.
