Sydney Moss was voted by the league’s coaches to the 2013 All-Southeastern Conference Freshman Team ... earned a spot on the 2013 Postseason WNIT All-Tournament Team, as she helped UF reach the semifinals and led the team in scoring (19.6 ppg), rebounding (9.0 rpg), assists (4.0 pg) and field goal percentage (57.1 pct.) … enrolled at UF for the 2012 summer semester that began in July … named SEC Freshman of the Week on Dec. 10, 2012 … the third Gator from the state of Kentucky, joining Susan Stoddard (1983-87) and Dawn Motola (1986-87) … enjoys drawing and riding dirt bikes … one of seven freshmen (four true freshmen) on Florida’s 2012-13 roster … transferred after the 2012-13 season

2013 ALL-SEC FRESHMAN TEAM ... 2013 Postseason WNIT All-Tournament Team ... played in all 37 games, started the first seven games and 24 overall, including the last 17 ... scored in every game except one (at No. 6 Kentucky, Jan. 3) ... led team in assists (143, 3.9 apg), ranked No. 2 for scoring (11.8), No. 2 for rebounding (6.8 pg), No. 2 for steals (52, 1.4 pg) No. 2 for free throws made (65, 1.8 pg) and attempted (107, 2.9 pg), No. 1 for field goals made (4.9 pg) and attempted (12.0 pg), No. 6 for field goal percentage (40.8 pct) and No. 2 minutes played (1,051, 28.4 pg) ... flirted with a triple-double five times ... ranked fourth on the team with eight possible three-point plays, hitting 4-of-8 free throws ... among all SEC athletes (all games), ranked No. 23 for scoring, No. 12 for rebounding, No. 9 for assists, No. 12 for assists-to-turnover ratio and No. 11 for defensive rebounds ... among all SEC freshmen had the best assist-to-turnover ratio, ranked second for assists, second for rebounding and third for scoring ... in UF’s five-game WNIT run to the semifinals led the team in scoring (19.6 ppg), rebounding (9.0 rpg), assists (4.0 pg) and field goal percentage (57.1 pct.) ... set UF freshman record for field goals attempted (444) in a season and ranked No. 2 for minutes played (1,051) … posted her fifth double-double of the year in the season finale at Drexel (April 3) with 20 points and a game-high 10 rebounds and a team-high five assists ... all four of her 20-point scoring games came within the last six games of the season ... starred in the five-point WNIT quarterfinal win at James Madison (March 30), when she scored a game-high 27 points and a team-high nine rebounds with a team-best three steals ... continued her terrific postseason play in the WNIT round of 16 win at Charlotte (March 27), scoring 10 points with a team-high nine rebounds and a team-high five assists ... tallied her fourth double-double of the season during the WNIT second round win at Winthrop (March 25), when she scored 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting with a game and career-high-tying 11 rebounds, along with a team-high-tying four assists ... reset her career-best scoring mark in back-to-back games, netting 28 points in her postseason debut at FIU (March 22) in the WNIT First round and surpassing the 350-point plateau, after she scored a game and career-high 22 points against Tennessee (March 8) in the SEC Tournament Quarterfinal game, also leading UF in rebounding (7) and assists (4) ... converted a career-best 7-of-8 free throws en route to 14 points with a team-high six rebounds and a team-best three assists in the SEC Tournament second round win against Arkansas (March 7) ... topped the 300-point plateau for the season with her game-high 16-point, 10-rebound effort at South Carolina (March 3), netting her third double-double ... another solid stats line in the win against Arkansas (Feb. 28) with 14 points, seven rebounds, six assists one steal and a block ... dished her 100th assist of the season during the game at Alabama (Feb. 24); 18th time a Gator has done so and first time since 2010-11 (Lanita Bartley) ... fifth freshman in Gator history to dish at least 100 assists in a season; first since Brandi McCain (246 in 1998-99) ... dished a career-high-tying nine assists at Alabama (Feb. 24), where she helped UF rally from a 13-point deficit with 10:17 remaining ... notched the second double-double of her career with a team-best 15 points and 10 rebounds vs. Vanderbilt (Feb. 21), also dished a game-high-tying four assists ... at Auburn (Feb. 10), was one point shy of a double-double, contributing nine points, a career-high 11 rebounds and six assists ... just missed a double-double at Mississippi State (Jan. 10), netting 10 points and nine rebounds with two assists and two steals in the win ... during a crucial seven-minute span late in the game against LSU (Jan. 6), helped UF rally from a nine-point deficit and take the lead by scoring six of her nine points, with two rebounds and one of her four assists en route to the win ... with UF holding a two-point lead midway through the first half against Holy Cross (Dec. 28), Moss scored eight of her 17 points during an game-changing 18-minute span that blew the game open and helped the Gators extend their then-season-long win streak to six games ... named MVP of the Gator Holiday Classic (Dec. 21) when she led UF to two wins and averaged a team-best 16.5 points on 12-of-19 shooting (63.2 percent) with 3-of-4 from the three-point arc, along with 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals ... recorded a game-high 17 points (one shy of her career-high) on 7-of-10 shooting along with eight rebounds and a game-high six assists in the win against Savannah State (Dec. 20) ... scored a then-season-low two points in the road win at La Salle (Dec. 16), as she traded a handful of short-range shots for assists and finished with a game-high six to accompany her seven rebounds ... named SEC Freshman of the Week on Dec. 10 after she led UF in scoring and assists in its two games of the week (vs. Troy and Pacific) with 16.5 points and 4.0 assists, while collecting 6.0 rebounds (second on team) and shooting 66.7 percent (14-21) from the floor ... solid game in seven-point win against Pacific (Dec. 7), scoring 15 points with eight rebounds, three assists and two steals ... shared team-high scoring honors with a career-best 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting in the win against Troy (Dec. 4), when she also dished a game-high five assists ... came of the bench for the first time in her career during the game at Michigan (Dec. 1), when she missed the entire week of practice due to the passing of her grandfather (“PawPaw”); she flew home Tue., Nov. 27, the funeral was Nov. 30 and she joined the team in Ann Arbor the morning of Dec. 1; still scored 11 points with five rebounds and drew a defensive charge against the Wolverines ... again flirted with a triple-double with eight points, seven assists and six rebounds with four steals in the win against Northern Iowa (Nov. 24) ... tallied her first career double-double with a career-high 15 points, 10 rebounds against N.C. Graduated in May of 2012 from Boone County High School  where she played her final three prep seasons … collected every significant player of the year honor for the state of Kentucky following her outstanding senior season with the Lady Rebels:  including the 2012 Gatorade Kentucky Girls Basketball Player of the Year and the 2012 Associated Press Kentucky Player of the Year, as well as being named 2012 Kentucky “Miss Basketball” … additional state player of the year honors from: Enquirer POY, Lexington Herald-Leader POY, Louisville Courier-Journal POY, Northern Kentucky Girls Basketball Association POY, Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches POY, Greater Cincinnati Basketball Hall of Fame POY, Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Women's Sports Foundation Basketball POY and  Northern Ky. Athletic Conference POY … during her prep career compiled 2,997 points (19.6 ppg), 1,602 rebounds (10.5 rpg), 323 steals (3.2 spg), 315 assists (3.1 apg) and 136 blocks (1.5 bpg), while shooting 53.6 percent from the field and 67 percent from the free throw line … holds BCHS scoring record and ranks second one the career rebounding list … averaged a career double-double … during her senior season totaled 792 points (23.3 ppg), 347 rebounds (10.2 rpg), 142 assists (4.2 apg), 141 steals (4.1 spg) and 53 blocks (1.6 bpg), while shooting 52 percent from the floor and 63 percent from the line … in her final prep game, scored 41 points in BCHS’s state first round game against Dunbar, but lost 72-70 in overtime, as the Lady Rebels capped their season with a 30-4 record … appeared on the cover of ESPN Rise Magazine (Spring, 2011) and was featured in Feb. 7, 2011, issue of ESPN The Magazine … featured in the  Feb. 2011 edition of SLAM Magazine … nationally Ranked among "ESPN Hoop-Gurlz" Top 50 Recruits … 2012 PARADE All-American Team … selected to have her Boone County Jersey Hung in the WBCA Hall of Fame "Ring of Honor Display" to honor her outstanding career as a high school player … 2012 Buddy LaRosa's Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati High School Female Athlete of the Year … 2012 Dr. Rudy J.
