Jordan Jones was UF’s leading scorer in 2010-11, when she topped the 1,000-career point plateau for her career … made an immediate impact during the 2009-10 season, her first suiting up for the Gators … signed scholarship papers to transfer to UF from the University of South Carolina in June of 2008 and was required to sit out the 2008-09 season per NCAA rules for transfers … 604 days (or 1 year, 7 months and 25 days) passed between when she played an organized collegiate basketball game (March 21, 2008) to UF’s 2009-10 season opener on Nov. 14, 2009 … enrolled at UF for the Fall of 2008 semester … earned a spot on the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll, as well as on the 2008 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll … was high school teammates and classmates of UConn All-American Maya Moore … earned her bachelor’s degree in business in May of 2011 and began taking graduate coursework during 2011-12 in pursuit of a master’s degree, which she was on pace to complete at the end of the 2012 summer following an internship … voted to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District 4 women’s basketball team.

Redshirt-Sophomore Year (2009-10)

Jones led the University of South Carolina in scoring her rookie collegiate season, netting 13.1 points, the fifth-highest average by a freshman in USC history, while ranking ninth among all SEC players … appeared In all 32 games, earning 31 starts … led the team in scoring 11 times … set the South Carolina freshman record with 97 three-pointers made and 243 three-point attempts … shot 39.9 percent (97-of-243) from 3-point range to rank third in the SEC, 31st in the nation and eighth in school history … led the SEC and ranked third in the country with 3.03 three-pointers made per game … averaged 34.72 minutes per game, the third-most in the SEC (all games), while seeing 37.29 minutes of court time in league games, to rank second among conference players … set the WNIT postseason-record and tied USC’s program record with nine 3-pointers (9-17) against North Carolina A&T (March 21) in a first-round win, tallying a career-high 31 points on 11-of-23 shooting from the floor … hit 7-of-9 from 3-point range for 27 points in the second-round WNIT loss at NC State (March 24) … was 3-of-6 from 3-point range and matched her season-high with six rebounds against Florida in the SEC Tournament … went 5-of-9 from 3-point range to score a team-high 16 points at Florida (Feb. 24) … canned at least one trey in 29 of 32 games, hitting four or more on 10 occasions … sparked a comeback win against Kentucky (March 2) with 16 points on 3-of-6 from 3-point range … did not start at Alabama (Jan. 10) after an injury in the previous game limited her practice time, but poured in three 3-pointers during the second half … hit 4-of-8 from 3-point range en route to 16 points and a season-high six rebounds against Savannah State (Jan. 6) before leaving with a knee injury … netted a game-high 18 points playing the full 40 minutes at No. 9 Oklahoma … named to the FIU Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament team … netted 18 points on 5-of-11 shooting and 6-of-7 free-throw accuracy at Florida International (Nov. 25) … in her collegiate debut (Nov. 9 vs. Saint Francis-Pa.), tallied 15 points, including four 3-pointers, four assists and four steals, an effort that garnered SEC Freshman of the Week honors … 22 double-figure scoring games … four 20-plus point games … five 40-minute games.

Graduated from Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Ga., in June of 2007 … began her prep career at McEachern H.S. in Powder Springs, Ga., where she was on the varsity squad as both a freshman and sophomore before transferring to Collins Hill and becoming teammates and classmates with UConn All-American Maya Moore … rated as the No. 50 player in the nation by Sports Illustrated, RiseMagazine and hoopgurlz.com ... recognized as one of the top shooters in the nation by hoopgurlz.com ... McDonald’s All-America finalist her senior year ... first-team all-state by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Georgia Sportswriters Association her senior year after averaging 14 points per game playing for the No. 1 high school team in the nation ... Collins Hill Lady Eagles finished the 2006-07 season in the top spot in USA Today’s final national rankings and compiled a 62-1 overall record during her time there with a pair of Georgia Class 5A state championships, including a 31-0 record her senior season … the 2005-06 squad finished No. 2 in the national rankings … drained seven 3-pointers in the state semifinal game her senior year ... set the CHHS record for most 3-pointers made in a single season during her junior year, then broke her own record during her senior campaign ... two-time honorable mention selection to the Street & Smith’s All-America team and was nominated for the WBCA All-America team as a senior ...
