One of two Gators (with Depree Bowden) who started all 33 games and one of five who played in every game … ended the year having scored in double-figures in 12 consecutive games, averaging a team-best 15.3 points during that span, connecting on 34.4 percent (22-64) from the 3-point arc and 82.4 percent (42-51) from the free throw stripe … during UF’s WNIT second-round win versus Florida Gulf Coast, topped the 1,000-minute mark for the season, marking the 16th time a Gator has played at least 1,000 minutes in a year - 11 different Gators have played 1,000 minutes in a season, including Brooks, who became just the fourth Gator to have played at least 1,000 minutes in two different seasons, joining Dana Smith, Murriel Page and Brandi McCain - who had three-1,000-minute seasons ... her fourth blocked shot of the year was the Gator’s 100th of the season ... emerged as more of a complete player, averaging 12.3 points, logging 32.2 minutes per game and contributing a team-high 87 assists (2.6 apg), in addition to ranking second in steals (62) and made three-pointers (48) … in the SEC statistics for all games, ranked No. 13 for scoring, No. 2 for free throw percentage (79.8%, 103-129), No. 14 for steals, No. 13 for three-pointers made and No. 11 for minutes played … UF’s second-leading scorer in SEC games (12.9 ppg), while hitting 36.6 percent (26-71) from the three-point arc … drained a career-high seven three-pointers at No. 3 Tennessee (Feb. 28), connecting on 7-of-11 from behind the arc en route to a season-high 27 points … the seven treys tied for the second-most in a game in UF history, one behind the eight Bridget Pettis canned against Georgia on Jan. 20, 1993 … also cracked into the record book by twice tying the UF mark for free three percentage in a game, hitting 10-of-10 in victories over Temple (Jan. 5) and Stetson (Nov. 26) ... hit the game-winning free throws with 1.2 seconds remaining in the thrilling 75-73 victory over Arkansas (Feb. 17) … hit a career-best streak of 25 consecutive made free throws ... versus Saint Louis (Dec. 22), became the 19th Gator to score 1,000 points during her career, nailing a three-pointer from the right side of the arc that put her over the top of the milestone with five minutes remaining, eclipsing the 1,000-point mark in her 72nd career game, the seventh-fastest in program history … left the January 10th game at Kentucky with 1:03 remaining, holding her right knee and did not re-enter during the thrilling finish (a two-point UF loss) … tied her career-high with eight rebounds against Holy Cross (Dec. 28) ... dished a career-high nine assists in a win over Florida Gulf Coast (Dec. 4) ... 24 double-figure scoring games … three 20-point scoring games.
Sophomore Year (2006-07)
Named to the Associated Press’ All-SEC Honorable Mention team ... starting guard in all 31 games … led UF in scoring (15.4 ppg), 3-pointers made (55), free throws made (117), free throw attempts (150) and minutes played (32.9 pg), while ranking second in assists (70), steals (62) and free throw percentage (78.0%)… in the SEC standings for league games, ranked No. 8 for scoring (15.3 pg), No. 9 for free throw percentage (77.6%, 52-67), t-No. 8 for steals (2.07 pg) and No. 5 for minutes played (34.79 pg) … scored in every game except one, playing just 11 minutes versus IUPUI (Nov. 21) because of injury … one of four Gators who played in every game (Marshae Dotson, Kim Dye and Briana Phillips) … during the Jan. 4 game at Georgia suffered a lateral meniscal tear in her left knee which required surgery at the end of the season ... the injury did not cause her to miss any game action, but her practice time for the remainder of the year was limited ... scored in double-figures in each of the last seven games, averaging 17.9 points during that run ... tied her career-high of 28 points in the regular-season finale, leading the Gators to the 83-79 win over Kentucky (Feb. 25), as she found her way to the free throw line a program-record-tying 16 times (seventh time in UF history), hitting 11 of those attempts which tied for the ninth-most in UF history ... in the last three games of the season found her way to the free throw line 34 times, hitting 26 of those attempts (76.5%) ... scored a career-high 28 points against Arkansas (Jan. 21) … had a streak of hitting at least one 3-pointer in 18 consecutive games end at Kentucky (Feb. 4), which was the fourth-longest streak in UF history … posted a team-best streak of 22 consecutive made free throws … became seventh Gator to record 100 career 3-pointers (Jan. 25 at South Carolina) … collected nine steals against Stetson (Dec. 18), one shy of the school record shared by DeLisha Milton and Cathy Bell … Preseason Naismith National Player of the Year candidate, one of 50 players selected … team-leading 24 double-figure scoring games … seven 20-point scoring games.
Freshman Year (2005-06)
Second Team All-SEC, as selected by the league’s coaches and media ... voted to the All-SEC Freshmen Team ... played in all 30 games, starting 29 games and scoring in 29 ... UF’s second-leading scorer (13.7 ppg) ... led Gators with 65 steals and 61 three-pointers, hitting at least one in 24 games ... scored at least 22 points in four of the last six games, tying her then-career-high of 25 twice (LSU & Tennessee) ... ended the season hitting at least one 3-pointer in 11 consecutive games ... in the SEC (all games), ranked No. 9 in scoring, No. 12 in free throw percentage, No. 4 in three-pointers made, No. 14 for 3-point field goal percentage and No. 5 in steals ... honored four times as SEC Freshman of the Week, last for the span of Feb. 20-26, when she matched her career-high of 25 points in the upset at No. 5 Tennessee (Feb. 26), hitting two free throws with 10.2 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Gators a four-point lead ... her third of four 3-pointers against LSU (Feb. 16), broke UF’s freshman record of 49 treys set by Talatha Bingham in 1996 ... UF’s leading scorer nine times … led the Gators with a then-career-high 25 points in the upset win over No. 2 LSU (Feb. 16), when she also collected five steals ... exploded for a game-high 21 points in the win at No. 21 Kentucky (Feb. 5), including a pivotal three-point play with 1:21 remaining ... hit 17 consecutive free throws (spanning the games against Rhode Island and Liberty), with the streak ending against Liberty but still hitting 11-of-12 that game ... scored 10 of her 11 points in the final 4:23 of the game against Rhode Island, as she hit two free throws to push UF’s advantage back to nine at 65-56 with 3:54 left ... three times tied UF’s freshmen record with five 3-pointers in a game (Nov. 27 vs. Stetson, Dec. 21 vs. FAMU & Feb. 2 vs. Auburn) ... scored 17 of UF’s first 22 points versus Stetson, on 5-of-5 shooting from behind the arc, finishing with a game-high 19 points while hitting 5-of-7 from deep along with five assists ... received the starting nod at the point guard spot for the season-opening game against St. Francis, replacing senior Sarah Lowe, who was interviewing for the Rhodes Scholarship, becoming the first true freshman to start a season-opener since Lowe and Brittany Davis earned starts in the initial game of the 2002-03 campaign ... led a balanced scoring attack in both wins during the season-opening Seton Hall Basketball Classic, netting 13 against St. Francis (NY) in her collegiate debut, before recording 18 points with seven steals in 40 minutes of action against Seton Hall … 21 double-figure scoring games.
Graduated in June of 2005 from Jackson North Side High School, where she was coached by Farris Lowery and Roderick Tomlin … during her prep career totaled 2,030 points with 593 rebounds and 487 assists … named to the 2005 All-State Tournament team, helping Jackson North Side to a 25-2 record and the 2005 TSSAA Class AAA Tournament quarterfinals during which she scored a game-high 23 points, hitting 6-of-6 from the free throw line and 8-of 13 from the field … in the 2005 Class AAA Sectionals, guided JNSHS team to a 63-50 victory over Craigmont High School … voted to the 2005 Associated Press All-State Class AAA First Team …named TSWA 2005 All-State first team … 2004 and 2005 Most Valuable Player of District 13-AAA … named All-Region 7-AAA in 2005 … voted MVP of 2005 State Regional Tournament.
