The 2006-07 athletic season is Kim Boes' (BASE) ninth year working with the University of Florida Athletics Association and her third in the role as Assistant to the Head Coach. She was promoted to this position prior to the 2004-05 season after working as an office assistant with the women’s basketball staff since July of 1999.
Boes handles a variety of duties for the UF coaching staff and team. If you can name a function involving the players and coaches, she will probably have a hand in organizing it! Boes coordinates team travel, in addition to overseeing the student managers, the equipment contract and inventory with NIKE, community relations and special events for the program such as banquets, alumni reunions and other extracurricular functions.
She also serves as the team’s administrative liaison during the Southeastern Conference Tournament and NCAA Championship. Boes was the director of the Gator Women’s Basketball summer camps in 2004 and will continue that role.
Boes began her career at the UAA with the accounting department, where she worked for one year before joining the basketball staff.
She received an associate degree from Brown-Mackey (Kansas) College in travel and hospitality management in 1992. Boes attended Norwalk (Iowa) High School, where she was a member of the varsity basketball, golf and softball teams.
