Kim Dye is a solid outside scoring threat … sports a shooter's mentality and a high basketball IQ … trained and conditioned in Gainesville in addition to completing classes during the 2005 Summer B session … named to the 2005 and 2006 Southeastern Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll ... named to the 2004 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll.

Junior Year (2005-06)
Played in 28 games, scoring in 13 ... averaged 11.8 minutes per game, totaling 331 minutes ... her 35.3 three-point field goal percentage (24-68) ranked No. 8 in a season by a Gator ... 24 of her 25 field goals were three-pointers and only six attempts came from within the arc ... her lone trey against Nex Mexico (March 18) in the NCAA first round was her 100th career point ... blasted out of a mini scoring drought by netting a career-high 15 points on 5-of-7 three-point shooting against No. 19 Vanderbilt (Jan. 22), helping UF rally from a halftime deficit ... canned back-to-back treys midway through the second half against Alabama (Jan. 5) to cap UF's comeback and give the Gators the lead for good ... during UF's 11-game winning streak shot 44.7 percent (17-of-38) from the three-point arc ... tallied a then-career-high nine points against Rhode Island (Dec. 28), hitting 3-of-5 from the three-point line ... her 3-pointer with 9:03 remaining against UT-Arlington gave UF a 45-43 lead and the Gators never trailed again ... scored her 25th point of the season against Illinois (Dec. 9) - UF's eighth game of the year - surpassing the 24 points she tallied during her first two years combined ... missed the Nov. 18 season-opener against St. Francis (NY) due to injury, but saw 13 minutes of action against Seton Hall the next night ... named to the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll.

Sophomore Year (2004-05)
Suffered a season-ending injury to her left knee during the team's shoot-around prior to the January 9 game against Auburn, tearing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and partially tearing the medial collateral ligament and the medial meniscus … underwent successful surgery on her knee February 7 … named to the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll ...appeared in 13 of 14 games prior to the injury, logging 92 minutes of action … totaled 15 points, with 12 of those coming from three-point field goals … came off the bench and drew a crucial charge at Arkansas (January 6) late in the second half when the Razorbacks were attempting a comeback … contributed career-highs of four points and three rebounds against UCF (November 30).

Freshman Year (2003-04)
Played in a total of 10 games - two in Southeastern Conference match-ups - totaling 39 minutes of action … scored in three games, hitting one three-pointer in each … overall was 3-for-10 from the field and 3-for-9 from three-point range … last saw action on Feb. 22 against Arkansas ... versus Kentucky (Feb. 8), scored three points on 1-of-2 shooting (both 3-point attempts), with one assist and one rebound in five minutes …her appearance versus Kentucky marked her Southeastern Conference debut …scored first collegiate points on December 19 against Bethune-Cookman, finishing 1-of-2 from behind the arc with one assist and one rebound in nine minutes … named to the SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll.

High School
Graduated in 2003 from Shelbyville (TN) High School, where she was coached by Rick Insell … played for the Eaglettes her final three years after beginning her prep career at Fayetteville High … three-year starter and letterwinner at Shelbyville HS, serving as team captain her final season … one of two seniors on the 2002-03 Shelbyville HS team that captured its second Class AAA title in the last three years, also winning the crown Dye's sophomore campaign … as a senior, contributed approximately eight points, three rebounds and two steals per game, but her value to the squad was incalculable … named to the 2003 All-District 8 team following her senior season … selected to play in the 2003 Tennessee East-West All-Star game, but was unable to participate because she was in Gainesville for UF orientation … helped Golden Eaglettes compile a 37-1 record in 2003, ending the year 10th in the national Super 25 Girls' Basketball Rankings produced by USA Today … Shelbyville HS, which in 2003 captured its 11th state title since 1964, has produced dozens of talented players who have earned college scholarships, most notably former Vanderbilt Commodore Abi Ramsey, as well as former Auburn Tiger Conswella Sparrow and former Tennessee Lady Vol Tiffany Woosley … played on a Nike AAU team that finished fourth nationally … torn the MCL in her left knee in 2002 …earned several swimming awards in backstroke, freestyle, breast stroke and relays … pitched a no-hitter in Little League baseball when she was 12 years old … member of several dance team championships … also when she was 12 years old, named to the all-tournament team after helping her softball squad win the state title.
