Second Team All-SEC ... named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll … against Georgia (Jan. 27) moved to No. 2 all-time at UF for steals, passing Camille Ratledge's 234 - trailing only DeLisha Milton's 281 ... outstanding floor leader in the upset win at No. 6/5 Vanderbilt (Jan. 24), when she hit back-to-back 3-pointers, en route to a team-high 17 points, to spark a 9-2 run to end the first half that helped cut an eight-point deficit to one entering the lockerroom ... against Ole Miss (Jan. 20) she topped the 1,400 career point plateau and dished her 100th assist of the season ... tallied third double-double of the season on Jan. 13 with 21 points and 10 assists vs. Alabama (Jan. 13) … recorded a season-low two points in the loss at LSU (Jan. 10), when she also failed to record a 3-pointer, snapping her program-record for consecutive games with a trey at 30 games … dished her 500th career assist during the win at Auburn (Jan. 6), when she passed the 3,000-minute plateau for her career … moved into second place all-time at UF for assists during the game against Tennessee (Jan. 3), passing the 497 recorded by Mahogany Hudson from 1994-98 … after playing her first 88 career games without blocking a shot, McCain swatted a shot in back-to-back games during the State Farm Classic … named to the State Farm Classic All-Tournament Team after recording two-game totals of 30 points, 14 assists and 11 steals … notched her second double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 assists, in addition to tying a career-high six steals in the win over Kent State (Dec. 29) … blocked the first shot of her career during the win over Duquesne (Dec. 28), while collecting five steals to move her past Tammy Jackson (216) on the career steals chart and into No. 3 all-time … tallied the fifth double-double of her career - and the first since her freshman year - recording 12 points with 11 assists against Elon (Dec. 18) … returned to her native land of Texas and led UF with 26 points in a victory over Lamar (Dec. 6), hitting 6-of-10 three-pointers … set a UF record for consecutive games scoring a 3-pointer, when she hit her first of two treys against Creighton (Dec. 1) to pass Bridget Pettis' record of 20 straight games set in 1993 … led UF with 23 points and five steals against Creighton and followed that with an 18-point effort at Tulane (Dec. 2) en route to earning Tulane Invitational All-Tournament team honors … topped the 1,200-point plateau on a fad-away jumper with 39 seconds remaining in the overtime win at Florida State (Nov. 29), giving UF a 75-74 lead en route to the 78-74 victory … tallied a game-high 19 points with four assists while playing all 45 minutes in the win against the Seminoles … collected a career-high 10 rebounds vs. Wisconsin (Nov. 25), adding nine points … 25 double-figure scoring games … 3 double-figure assist games … 1 double-figure rebound games … 3 double-doubles.

Junior Year (2000-01) One of 15 finalists for the Naismith Female College Player of the Year ... First Team All-American by www.womenscollegehoops.com (5-player team) ... named First Team All-SEC by the league's coaches (10-player team) & First Team All-SEC by the media (5-player team) ... at the team's postseason banquet she was honored with the Most Valuable Gator award, voted on by the coaches and players … also presented The Stopper award, given to the player who played the best defense within the team's structure ... led UF in scoring (19.7 ppg), steals (76), three-pointers (101), free throw percentage (80.6%), minutes played (1,022, 35.2 pg) and assist-to-turnover ratio (124-to-70) ... shattered UF's season record of 73 three-pointers ... recorded the third-highest season scoring average in UF history and the second-highest free throw percentage ... set UF junior class records for scoring, 3-point field goals made and attempted, while ranking second for free throw percentage and steals ... attempted an NCAA Championship game record 26 three-pointers in the second round loss to Washington (March 18) ... averaged 4.0 three-pointers per game during the NCAA Championship, the most in the 2001 field with a minimum of two games played ... attempted an SEC Tournament-record 20 three-point field goals in the loss to Arkansas (March 2) in the quarterfinals, hitting four ... named SEC Player of the Week on February 26, for the second time this season ... led UF to a short-handed victory over No. 14 LSU (Feb. 22) with a game-high 21 points while playing all 40 minutes as Tombi Bell could not play because of injury ... did not suit-up at Ole Miss (Feb. 15) after suffering a flair-up of chronic plantar fascitis in her right foot in practice the day prior ... became the 16th Lady Gator to score 1,000-career points, when she hit her third of four 3-pointers against Tennessee (Feb. 11) with 7:13 remaining in the game ... led UF with 21 points in 40 minutes of action in the upset of No. 5 Georgia (Feb. 1) ... netted 30 points with five assists and four steals against South Carolina (Jan. 28) ... scored a season-low eight points in the 85-48 win at Kentucky (Jan. 7) - the only game she did not score double-figures this season … named to the State Farm Classic All-Tournament Team after helping UF to the title and leading the team in scoring both games, with a combined 35 points and 10 assists … named the Steak n' Shake Player of the Game against New Mexico (Dec. 17) in the Orange Bowl Classic leading UF with a game-high 21 points ... recognized as the SEC Player of the Week on Dec. 4 for averaging 31.5 points and 7.5 assists over two wins from Nov. 27 to Dec. 3 …also named Star of the Week by womenscollegehoops.com, which stated that, "When she is on (and she is on now), there is no better point guard in the country." … scored a career-high 35 points at West Virginia (Nov. 29), shooting six 3-pointers and dishing six assists in the win … named MVP of the Dead River Company Classic in Maine (Nov. 24-25), where she totaled 46 points and collected eight steals over two games leading UF to the championship … 28 double-figure scoring games.

Summer of 2000 Selected to the U.S. Jones Cup Team, which competed July 16-20 in Taipei, Taiwan, but withdrew from competition due to injury… played an exhibition game with the U.S. Select Team on Sept. 3 against the USA Olympic Team, held at the University of Hawaii.

Sophomore Year (1999-2000) Plagued by injuries … played in a total of 15 games, with UF posting a 12-3 record in those games and a 9-10 record in games she did not ... scored 15 points and dished seven assists in the WNIT semifinal win at Arkansas (March 25)... held scoreless for the first time in her career during the WNIT final at Wisconsin (March 29)... played a season-high 38 minutes at Memphis (March 17), when she scored seven points, dished eight assists and tied a career-high with five steals... after an 18-game lay-off because of a fractured fibula, finally returned to action against Arkansas (March 2) in the first round of the SEC Tournament and scored 10 points with six assists versus the Lady Razorbacks after checking into the game at the 14:08 mark of the first half … saw her first action of the season on Nov. 26 at Purdue, 126 days after undergoing surgery … played 22 minutes coming off the bench against the Boilermakers, entering the game at the 17:46 mark of the first half and hit an eight-foot jumper on her first attempt… played in eight games and appeared to be hitting her stride when she fractured the fibula (the small, non-weight barring bone) in her left leg during the Dec. 28 win over Western Kentucky…was clutch from the free throw line in a pair of games: went 6-for-6 in the final two minutes of the comeback victory at Miami (Dec. 1), when UF rallied from an 18-point second-half deficit; and went 6-for-6 in the final minute of the eight-point win at Florida State (Dec. 7)… preseason candidate for Naismith Player of the Year… ranked as the third fastest player in the country in a poll conducted by the Women's Basketball Journal… first sophomore to be selected as captain by her teammates since DeLisha Milton in 1995… four double-figure scoring games.

Summer of 1999 Starter for the U.S. team at the World University Games before tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee with one second remaining in the first half of the USA's 107-89 victory against China on July 5th in the opening round held in Andratx, Spain... underwent reconstructive surgery performed by Dr. Walter Lowe on Friday, July 23 at the Physician's Surgery Center of Houston in Texas.

Freshman Year (1998-99) Started all 33 games… named by the Women's Basketball News Service as First Team Freshman All-American... selected to the Women's Basketball Journal's Freshmen All-America Team... second UF freshman in history to earn First Team All-SEC honors (coaches' team)… honorable mention All-SEC (media team)… led the SEC in assists per game (7.5) and total assists (246)… tied for sixth in the nation in assists per game… UF's third leading scorer (13.1 ppg)… averaged a team-high 33.8 minutes per game… established a new UF record for assists in a season... played 1,115 total minutes, the third most minutes in UF's season record book… 79 steals was third most in UF history for a season... set UF's single-game assist record, dishing 17 against Miami (Nov. 24)… became only the second freshman in UF history to be named the SEC Player of the Week on Dec. 14, after leading UF with 20 points and 10 assists in a 77-71 upset at No. 8 Alabama… voted the Most Outstanding Player of the State Farm Classic (Dec. 30), after guiding UF to the title while scoring 34 points and recording 15 assists in two games… set UF freshman records for assists (246), steals (79), minutes played (1,115) and average minutes played (33.8)… four double-doubles... 26 double-figure scoring games … six double-figure assist games.

High School McCain was a four-year starter for Coach Kim Albers at Silsbee High School… 1998 Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Texas… two-time first team All-State… listed as Texas Hoops Magazine's No. 1 Texas recruit… named the top high school senior player in the state by The Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Women's Recruiting Service… 1998 Street & Smith All-American, Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-American and 1998 third team Parade All-American… Most Valuable Player on Beaumont Enterprise 1997 and '98 Super Gold Teams… three-time MVP of District 19-4A and 1995 Newcomer of the Year… posted career numbers of 2,407 points (19.1 ppg), 690 rebounds (5.5 rpg), 628 steals (5.0 pg) and 588 assists (4.7 pg)… recorded one triple-double during her sophomore year (23 points, 13 steals, 12 assists)… started all 37 games her freshman year and helped the Lady Tigers to the State 4A finals and a 35-2 record… scored eight points for the 78-75 winning White team in the WBCA All-American game, played in Hartford, Conn., in April 1998… graduated in the top 10-percent of Silsbee's Class of 1998, while being named Outstanding Biology I Honors Student, Outstanding U.S. History Student, Outstanding World History Student and Outstanding English III Student… senior year superlative awards included Miss Silsbee High School, Class Favorite, Most Likely to Succeed, Most Popular, Most Athletic, Most Talented, Who's Who Among Seniors and Prom Queen… signed her letter of intent to play at Florida on Nov. 12, 1997 at 7:30 a.m., CT… also played setter and middle blocker for Silsbee's volleyball team for two seasons, and was named to the 1996 second team All-State squad.
