Sherisha (sure-EE-sha) Hills elected to complete an internship required for her major during the fall of 2002 in Tampa, therefore, not returning to the team for her fifth and senior season … terrific basketball IQ … had her first two seasons playing as a Gator (2001 & 2002) cut short because of knee injuries… spent the summers of 2001 and 2002 rehabilitating and strengthening her knees … has undergone three knee surgeries for two ACL tears … strong passer and shooter … good instincts for the game … had a calming influence on her teammates and coaching staff every time she's on the floor during a game.

Junior Year (2001-02) Slow to recover from multiple knee injuries and as a result saw action in only 10 games, hitting a 3-pointer in five of those contests … converted a clutch 3-point play in the upset win at No. 6/5 Vanderbilt (Jan. 24), when she capped a 9-2 run at the end of the first half that helped UF shrink an eight-point deficit to one heading into the lockerroom ... hit a back-breaking 3-pointer against Ole Miss (Jan. 20), when she coolly canned a trey from the top of arc with 3:35 remaining to give UF a 69-63 lead en route to a 75-73 win ... sparked UF's win at Auburn (Jan. 10), where she scored a season-high nine points, including a 4-for-4 effort from the free throw line, where her second of two charity shots gave UF a 57-56 lead with 6:35 remaining and the Gators did not trail again … saw four minutes of action in the first half of the win against Duquesne (Dec. 28) … played a valuable 12 minutes in the upset of Colorado (Dec. 21), hitting her only 3-point attempt and grabbing two rebounds with one assist in the victory … debuted at Lamar (Dec. 6), where she entered the game midway through the first half and hit her inaugural 3-point attempt just moments after entering the game … zero double-figure scoring games.

Sophomore Year (2000-01) Suffered a season-ending ACL tear in her right knee with 4:48 remaining in the game against Auburn (Jan. 18) … first guard off the bench … underwent surgery on February 19 ... was being worked into the rotation after coming back from a left knee revision in April of 2000 … earned the team's Dedicated Gator award, presented to the player who displays the most improvement with her strength and conditioning ... named to the State Farm Classic All-Tournament Team after helping UF to the title and recording a two-game total of 29 points … provided color commentary for the Gator Radio Network during UF's two NCAA Championship games ... earned her first of two consecutive starting assignments wearing the Orange & Blue, subbing in for injured Tombi Bell against Tennessee State (Dec. 28), when she made the most of her inaugural start by scoring a career-high 18 points and snaring a career-high five steals … contributed a Gator-career-high 11 points against New Mexico (Dec. 17), when she ignited a personal 5-0 run after the Lobos tied the game late in the first half ... scored six points on a pair of three-pointers in the championship game of the Dead River Company Classic at Maine (Nov. 25) … contributed five points and four rebounds in the home-opener against Florida State (Nov. 21) ... scored her first point as a Lady Gator during the season-opening win at Fordham (Nov. 17), hitting one of two free throw attempts ... three double-figure scoring games.

Transferred to Florida (1999-2000) Required to sit out the season per NCAA transfer rules… practiced with the team during the spring, but was not permitted to participate in games or travel with the squad… underwent an ACL revision on her left knee in April of 2000, but was ready for preseason conditioning.

Notre Dame (1998-99) Played her freshman season at Notre Dame where she averaged 7.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists… started four of the 29 games she played… two of the games she started were both of the Fighting Irish's NCAA Tournament games, including the team's 61-57 first round victory against St. Mary's, where Hills nailed a pair of free throws with 19.2 seconds remaining to give UND a 58-55 lead… named co-Big East Rookie of the Week for the week of Nov. 30 after tallying 16 points and four steals while helping Notre Dame to a win over San Francisco … seven double-figure scoring games.

High School Hills played her prep ball at Academy of the Holy Names, graduating in 1998… averaged 21.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 4.9 steals and 2.5 blocked shots during her career, while leading the team to a 116-19 record… guided her prep team to a 27-2 record and the number-one ranking and runner-up finish in the state competition during her senior season, when she contributed 25.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 5.1 steals and 3.0 blocks per game… a Parade Magazine fourth-team All-American… concluded her stellar high school career with 2,538 points, setting new school and Hillsborough County scoring records… recognized as a three-time All-American by USA Today and as a three-time Tampa Tribune Class 3A Player of the Year, while being selected as a starter in the 1998 Nike/WBCA High School All-America All-Star game in Hartford, Conn… coached by the late Craig Keeler.
