Erin O'Neil provided strength and agility to the Lady Gators inside game... an intense competitor… developed into a strong rebounder who took pride on the defensive end… battled All-Americans DeLisha Milton and Murriel Page every day in practice her first two years... a very determined player with a strong work ethic... perfectionist on and off the court… first-ever Canadian on the Lady Gator roster... earned her undergraduate degree in Wildlife Ecology & Conservation in the spring of 2001.

Career Notes Played in 108 career games... started nine games... scored 252 points for a 2.3 scoring average... collected 258 rebounds for a 2.4 average... blocked 18 shots... dished 48 assists... stole 26 passes... shot 42.2% from the floor.

Senior Year (1999-2000) Appeared in 33 of 34 games this season, sitting out against South Carolina (Jan. 30) for personal reasons… one of the first two post players off the bench… recorded one rebound, one assist and one block in final collegiate game on March 29 in the WNIT final at Wisconsin... snared four rebounds and dished a pair of assists in UF's WNIT semifinal win at Arkansas (March 25)... sparked UF's comeback win over Memphis (March 17) in the second round of the WNIT, when she scored nine points with five rebounds in 12 minutes of action... tied her career-high by dishing a pair of assists in the regular season finale against Alabama (Feb. 27)… played a season-high 19 minutes against Mississippi (Feb. 17), when she contributed seven points with eight rebounds in the victory… contributed a career-high 12 rebounds along with a season-high 13 points vs. West Virginia (Dec. 4)… played a then-season-high 18 minutes in the comeback victory at Miami (Dec. 1)... swatted a career-high two blocks in the win at Central Florida (Nov. 28)… scheduled to earn her degree in Wildlife Ecology & Conservation in the spring of 2001… one double-figure scoring game this season.

Junior Year (1998-99) One of five Lady Gators to play in every game this season... earned nine starting assignments… averaged career-highs of 3.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game… first post player off the bench… had a career night in the 75-73 loss to Alabama (Feb. 15), when she scored 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field and grabbed eight rebounds with three steals in 26 minutes of action… collected a career-high 11 rebounds in the win at Arkansas (Feb. 4)… scored a then-career high 13 points at Colorado State (Nov. 19)… tallied three double-figure scoring games this season; five in her career.

Sophomore Year (1997-98) Erin O'Neil was a valuable contributor in the paint for UF, especially during the last few games of the season... saw action in 28 games... scored in six of the last 10 games, including a career-high 12 points at Alabama (Feb. 14), which shared for team-high honors... played a key 12 minutes during the SEC Quarterfinal win against Arkansas (Feb. 27)... tallied a her first career double-figure scoring effort, contributing 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting during a career-high 25 minutes against Ole Miss (Feb. 8)... hit a key basket in the 65-61 win at Auburn, when she connected on an 11-footer during the second half during an 8-0 run... grabbed a career-high five rebounds versus Hampton (Dec. 30)... named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Freshman Year (1996-97) Saw action in 14 games... scored the first points of her career against North Texas (Dec. 6), connecting on all four trips to the free throw line... hit her first field goal vs. St. Bonaventure, going 2-for-2 from the floor... contributed nine solid minutes in the win at Kentucky (Feb. 13), where she scored two points and snared four rebounds with two steals... troubled during the preseason with a stress reaction in her right fibula and saw limited playing time as a result.

High School O'Neil excelled in several sports, especially basketball, volleyball and rowing... on the hardcourt, she recorded 1,277 career points during three years at Glenlawn Collegiate Institute, while averaging 9.1 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game... there are 10 provinces that comprise Canada and O'Neil guided the Lions to the 4A Manitoba Provincial Championship as a senior, when she contributed 24 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks in the title game... named Most Valuable Player of the prestigious five-member All-Manitoba Province team, equivalent to an all-state team in the U.S.... led the Lions with 12.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game as a senior, also tallying 57 blocks, 78 assists with 337 deflections... guided Glenlawn to the 3A Provincial title as a junior when she was ranked sixth in the Winnipeg Sun's Top 10 girls listings... voted top grade 10 player in Province by Manitoba Coaches Association, when she was also a 3A Provincial All-Star and a Juvenile Team Member... on the volleyball court, the Provincial All-Star captained the Lions to the 4A Provincial Finals... winner of the 1995-96 Time Out Hustle Award... starter on the 3A Provincial championship team her junior year... as a rower, O'Neil captured the gold medal in the women's quad at the 1995 Western Canada Summer Games... a member of the Provincial rowing team since 1991, O'Neil was the 1995 Manitoba indoor rowing champion in the Under 16 division... at the 1994 Canada Cup Rowing National Championships, O'Neil captured the silver medal in the junior women's quad and the bronze in the junior women's double... approached by several schools for her volleyball abilities, but chose to focus on basketball... also played rugby... basketball coach was her father Jim O'Neil.
