Misty Knight brought versatility to the Lady Gator lineup... voted by her teammates as a tri-captain for the 2001 season.

Senior Year (2000-01) Named to cnnsi.com's First Team All-Name Team ... at the team's postseason banquet, she was given the Goodwill Gator award, presented to the player who unselfishly gave her time and attention to the community and volunteer affairs ... also earned the team's Most Improved GPA award ... named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll … scored her first-ever points in NCAA postseason action, contributing four in the first round win over Holy Cross (March 16), while dishing a career-high five assists ... started at forward against No. 14 LSU (Feb. 22) on "Senior Night," which also was the final regular season home game of her career, and logged 34 minutes while contributing three rebounds and two assists ... earned her first career start in the game at Ole Miss (Feb. 15), where she played a career-high 36 minutes and grabbing four rebounds with one assist ... played 17 of her 19 minutes in the first half of the win at Arkansas (Feb. 8), when she collected three rebounds ... played perhaps the most significant 10 minutes of her career in the upset win over No. 5 Georgia (Feb. 1), when she scored five points - all mid-way through the second half ... had a career evening against Providence (Jan. 25), scoring highs of eight points and seven rebounds in 26 minutes of action … celebrated her 22nd birthday on the same evening UF played at Colorado (Dec. 22), where she dished a career-high three assists ... did not suit up against Chicago State (Dec. 20) to rest a sore knee … scored three points and grabbed a pair of rebounds in the win over Central Florida (Dec. 9) ... scored the second three-pointer of her career when she connected from long range during the championship game of the Dead River Company Classic against Maine (Nov. 25) … hit one of two free throw attempts in the season-opener at Fordham (Nov. 17) when she saw 11 minutes of action.

Junior Year (1999-2000) Appeared in 15 games, totaling 51 minutes… named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll… saw seven minutes of action against Dayton (March 15) in the first round of the WNIT, grabbing a pair of rebounds... played a season-high eight minutes in the season-opening victory over Florida Atlantic (Nov. 19)… has scored 10 points this year… scored three points in two different games: West Virginia (Dec. 4) and Wisconsin-Green Bay (Jan. 3)… hit a career-high three free-throws and a season-high two rebounds against Wisconsin- Green Bay (Jan. 3).

Sophomore Year (1998-99) Played in 13 games, totaling 51 minutes… recorded five of her seven points this season against California (Dec. 29)… grabbed a career-high four rebounds at Stetson (Dec. 3), when she played four minutes… received the Sophia Witherspoon Academic Award (Fall, 1998), which is awarded to one UF female student-athlete each semester for their dedication and effort in the classroom.

Freshman Year (1997-98) Hampered by a stress fracture in her right foot, which limited her practice time early in the season... worked back into full practice by mid-January... saw action in six games... played just two minutes of the season prior to February... scored her first collegiate points against Ole Miss (Feb. 8), when she hit a field goal and grabbed a pair of rebounds in five minutes of action... connected on her first 3-point field goal in the win over Central Florida (Feb. 10), playing nine minutes.

High School Graduated from Beach High School in 1997... coached by Ronald Booker... sat out 17 games her senior year due to a stress fracture in her right foot, but played 10 games, returning for the postseason and averaging 16 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks while helping the Lady Bulldogs capture the Region championship... team won four Sub-Region titles and three Region 3-AAAA crowns during her tenure... as a junior, contributed 20 ppg, 13 rpg and three blocks per game en route to earning All-State honors... during sophomore season, tallied 16 ppg, 12 rpg and two blocks per game as BHS garnered the Sub-Region title... earned a starting spot as a freshman, averaging eight points per outing... signed her letter of intent to play at Florida on Nov. 13, 1996 at 10:20 a.m... spent three seasons as a middle blocker on the volleyball team, where she was coached by Deborah Clarke, Terrel Cummings and Ilene Torrence; and was named the team's best defensive player.
