PERSONAL: The son of former Boston College great and NBA player Jay Murphy and Finland national team player Paivi Murphy…Jay played in the NBA for four seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers and Washington Bullets from 1984-88…He scored 1,795 points in his collegiate career at Boston College, averaging 14.6 points and 6.2 boards per game over his four years…Erik has two younger brothers, Alex, 17, and Tomas, 12…Was born in Lyon, France.
