AS A SOPHOMORE 2005-06: A Second Team All-SEC selection by the league coaches and Honorable mention pick from the Associated Press his sophomore season, he led the Gators in rebounding at 7.6 boards per game, while averaging a career-best 11.3 points per game…Horford stepped it up at the most critical times, averaging a double-double during NCAA Tournament play with 11.8 points and 10.0 rebounds, including 14 points in the national title game and 15 rebounds in the Gators' Elite Eight victory over No. 1 seed Villanova…Third on the Gators in field goal percentage in 2005-06 at 60.8 percent…Came up with a team-high 10 double-doubles and has 12 for his career…Led UF in rebounding a team-high 18 times and scored in double figures 26 times…Started all 39 games for UF in 2005-06 and has started 64 straight games, the longest streak on the team…Led the Gators in free throws made (6), free throw attempts (7), total rebounds (10), and blocks (3) in the season-opener against St. Peter’s... PREP: Was the Class A Player of the Year for the state of Michigan as a senior, averaging 21.1 points, 13.0 rebounds, 4.9 blocks and 2.6 assists…Finished fifth in the voting for Michigan's Mr. Basketball…Posted 18 double-doubles in 23 games, helping Grand Ledge get as high as No. 7 in the state…Had 112 blocks his senior season and never fouled out…Rose to the occasion in the biggest games for Grand Ledge, scoring 29 against Flint Beecher with highly touted Michigan State recruit Marquise Gray, while pouring in 34 points, 17 rebounds and seven blocks against rival Everett (the same school that produced Magic Johnson)…Grand Ledge's all-time leading scorer with 1,239 points, one of seven career records he owns at the school…Averaged 18.1 points, 11.7 rebounds, 3.3 blocked shots and 2.7 assists while earning Class A All-State honors as a junior…

PERSONAL: The son of former NBA Player Tito Horford, 7-1 center who spent time with the Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Bullets in the late 1980s to early 90s…Tito played against Florida head coach Billy Donovan in college, as Donovan scored a career-high 38 points to lead his Providence Friars to a win over Horford's Miami Hurricanes…Born on June 3, 1986.
