AS A FRESHMAN IN 2002-03 - Made a bigger impact than anyone could have anticipated, finishing second on the Gators with 12.3 ppg and earning SEC Freshman of the Year honors in the process… Started the first five games of his college career and then became, arguably, the SEC's top sixth man before starting eight of the final nine games of the season… Earned SEC Player of the Week honors after hitting a 25-foot three-pointer at the buzzer over Georgia, his seventh three pointer of the game, as he finished with 23 points… One of numerous clutch shots he hit during the season… Hit a team-high 74 three-pointers for the season, hitting .389 from beyond the arc for the season… His 74 three-pointers were a UF freshman record (old mark was 64 by Teddy Dupay, 1998-99) and the fifth highest total in school history overall… UF Freshman record for three-point attempts as well with 190… Third in the SEC with 2.24 three-pointers per game… Third on the team with 141 total field goals while hoisting up 345 shots, the second highest total on the team… His three-point accuracy and field goal percentage both were higher in SEC play than for the year overall, as he hit .442 from the floor in league games while hitting .430 from beyond the arc in SEC play… Led all reserves in minutes played in 18 of 20 games he came off the bench… Season high of 26 points against Coastal Carolina, including a season-high 9-of-10 from the free throw line… Second on the team with six 20-point games (20 vs. E.
