AS A FRESHMAN IN 2002-03 - Overcame adversity early in the season to see action in the final 18 games of the season… Missed the first two months of the season after complications from an ankle sprain which ultimately led to the removal of an abcess the size of an orange in his left ankle… Hit 9 of 10 free throws with under three minutes remaining in regulation for the season, the second highest percentage of anyone on the Florida roster… Led the Gators in assists on five occasions, including a career-high nine against Kentucky in the regular season finale… Posted 44 assists to just 14 turnovers, for better than a 3:1 assist to turnover ratio… Finished the year connecting on nearly 41.0 percent of his shots, hitting 18 of 44 attempts from the field overall (.409)… Hit .333 from three-point range for the season, connecting on 6 of 18 attempts… His .793 percentage from the charity stripe was the second best on the Gators in 2002-03, as he hit 23 of 29 attempts… Had a breakout performance against Ole Miss by going a perfect 3-of-3 from the field and scoring a season-high 11 points in a then season-high 20 minutes… Set several other season-highs: field goals made (3), three-pointers made (2), three-pointers attempted (2)… Played double-figure minutes in 14 games (14 vs. LSU, 13 vs. Arkansas, 17 vs. Kentucky, 20 vs. Ole Miss, 19 vs. Tennessee, 23 vs. New Orleans, 23 vs. Vanderbilt, 23 vs. South Carolina, 19 vs. Auburn, 14 vs. Georgia, 27 vs. Kentucky, 10 vs. LSU, 15 vs. Sam Houston and 18 vs. Michigan State)… Set a new career-high with nine assists and minutes played with 27 vs. Kentucky… Tied a career-high with 23 minutes for second straight game vs. Vanderbilt… Played a season-high 23 minutes vs. New Orleans… Grabbed a season-high four rebounds vs. Tennessee (2/15)… Made first eight free throws of his career… Saw first collegiate action of his career with seven minutes vs. Tennessee, after missing the first 15 games of the season… Scored four points on 50-percent shooting (1-of-2) from the field… Shot 100-percent (2-of-2) from the free throw line… Grabbed one rebound.
