What They Are Saying About LaDarius Halton… .

"He and I had some long conversations. Because of the knee injury, he had to relearn how to be effective. He could no longer do some of the things he did in high school."
Head coach Billy Donovan in January of 2002

"I'm a little skinny guy who's been through some stuff, who's got a scar. I kind of feel like an underdog sometimes."
LaDarius Halton in January of 2002

"There were some dark moments. I was questioning everything. People were asking, 'Are you still playing?' I drew a lot to keep my mind off things. I let out all the emotions and all the frustrations in my artwork."
LaDarius Halton in January of 2002

"I know now that it's not all about scoring points. There are some nights you're going to have to play defense or rebound, do something else to help the team. When you are young you say that because that's the right thing to say. Now I really understand it."
LaDarius Halton in January of 2002

"It really doesn't bother me that much anymore. Sometimes, some days. It might be like once a month or something. The Lord has blessed me, and I'm not having any pain."
LaDarius Halton in December of 2000

"To LaDarius' credit, he has never complained. He understands the scope of things. He just wants to do whatever he can to get back on the court."
UF trainer Chris Koening in February of 2000

"He is so athletic, he does things you can't teach."
Florida Head Coach Billy Donovan in February of 2000
