AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): The Gators’ Friday night starter was 11-6 over a team-leading 19 starts, with 84 strikeouts, 24 walks and a 2.72 earned run average in a team-high 112.1 innings…The righty started three of the club’s four shutouts on the campaign and was responsible for two of the squad’s three complete games after going the distance against Alabama (March 27) and Mississippi State (April 17)…His total of 11 wins was the most by a Florida pitcher since Hudson Randall was 11-3 in 2011…Started all 10 SEC games for the second year in a row and was 3-6 with a 2.69 ERA, with 48 strikeouts in 63.1 innings…Was a perfect 5-0 during the postseason and compiled a 2.43 ERA, registering 24 strikeouts and permitting five walks in 29.2 innings…Shore’s four career NCAA Tournament victories are one shy of the school record held by Randall (2010-12)…Claimed both of his outings during the NCAA College World Series…Kept the Gators alive by downing eventual national champion Virginia (6.1 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 K)…Opened the action in Omaha with a win over Sunshine State rival No. 8 Miami (5.0 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 6 K)…Held No. 10 Florida State scoreless over 5.2 innings in Game 1 of the NCAA Gainesville Super Regional…Limited Florida A&M to a pair of singles in five shutout frames to start the NCAA Gainesville Regional…Delivered 7.2 innings, with seven strikeouts and zero walks, to eliminate Auburn from the SEC Tournament…Allowed one run to No. 8 Vanderbilt over seven innings in the series opener in Nashville but was on the short end of a 2-0 score…Notched seven strikeouts without any walks in 7.1 innings during the first meeting with Kentucky but suffered the defeat…Twirled a complete game (6 H, 3 R, 6 K, 0 BB) to take game one at Mississippi State…Kept Missouri to one run on four hits in eight innings in the Gators’ 5-1 win in Columbia…Authored his first career complete game in the back end of a doubleheader with Alabama and matched his career-best total of eight strikeouts for the second time…Had a career-long stretch of 23.2 scoreless innings between March 30, 2014 (NCAA Gainesville Regional versus the College of Charleston)-March 13, 2015 (SEC opener against Tennessee)…Fired eight scoreless frames against Maine on March 6 after 6.1 innings without yielding a run to Stony Brook on Feb. 27…Raised the curtain on the campaign by putting up zeroes over five innings to defeat Rhode Island.

 

AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Chosen as the National Freshman of the Year by Perfect Game and was the SEC Freshman of the Year, the first Gator pitcher to receive the honor…Was a third-team All-American by Louisville Slugger and earned Freshman All-American recognition from Baseball America, Louisville Slugger, National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and Perfect Game…A first-team All-SEC starting pitcher, joining the league’s Pitcher of the Year, LSU’s Aaron Nola, Shore was 7-4 with a team-low 2.16 ERA…Totaled a team-leading 68 strikeouts in 95.2 innings and 15 of his 16 appearances were starts…Worked at least five innings in each start…Turned in a sterling 7-1 mark in 10 SEC games, with a 2.08 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 65 innings…Started UF’s first outing of the NCAA Gainesville Regional and suffered the defeat against the College of Charleston (5.0 IP, 10 H, 3 R, 6 K)…Threw 7.1 scoreless innings as Florida captured its series opener with a 1-0 victory over No. 10 Vanderbilt on ESPNU’s Thursday Night Baseball and was later tabbed as the SEC Freshman of the Week for his efforts…Registered a career-high eight strikeouts and permitted just two singles to the Commodores…Vanderbilt hitters went 2-for-23 (.087) against the right-hander and none advanced past second base…Fired six shutout innings to claim the opener at No. 20 Alabama…Held Missouri to one run over 7.1 innings and had five strikeouts in the Gators’ 7-1 triumph…Earned the first win in the sweep of Georgia (5.0 IP, 6 H, 2 R)…Kept No. 19 Kentucky scoreless over seven innings in Lexington to help the Orange and Blue even the series…Was one out shy of his first career complete game in a 6-2 victory over No. 4 LSU as Florida swept both ends of a doubleheader that day…Picked up first collegiate win in the SEC opener against Arkansas, when he surrendered one run in 6.1 innings and registered five strikeouts…Tossed seven shutout innings in the first meeting with UConn but received a no-decision…Casey Turgeon poked a game-winning, two-out single in the 11th inning to score Josh Tobias with the game’s lone run…Tallied seven K versus FGCU but was on the wrong end of a 2-1 score…Debuted with four strikeouts in 5.1 innings and the Gators plated four runs in the seventh to handle UCF, 5-1.

 

SUMMER: Played for the 2015 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, along with Gator teammates A.J. Puk, Buddy Reed and JJ Schwarz…Appeared in three games and made one start, posting a 2-1 record…Tossed nine innings, his first eight scoreless, registering 10 strikeouts and permitting three walks…Tossed four shutout innings of relief for the win in his Team USA debut versus Chinese Taipei on June 27, allowing just three hits and striking out five…Worked four innings in relief against Cuba for his second win of the summer, allowing just two hits and striking out three…Final line was dented in a one-inning start versus the Canadian National Team, which won the Pan American Gold Medal.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Right-handed pitcher from Coon Rapids High School who played for head coach Jerry Coe…Selected in the 29th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft by the Minnesota Twins with the 860th choice…Named the 2013 Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Minnesota after going 9-0 with a 0.27 ERA on the mound and a .429 batting average at the plate…Claimed the 2013 Mr. Baseball Award, presented by the Minnesota Minute Men in cooperation with the Twins…Rated No. 2 in the state of Minnesota and was the No. 42 right-hander in the Class of 2013 Final Rankings by Perfect Game…Ranked No. 202 in the 2013 Baseball America 500…Chosen as a Third-Team Preseason All-American and to Rawlings’ Preseason Central All-Region First Team by Perfect Game prior to his senior year…Was a first-team pick on MaxPreps 2013 Preseason All-America Team…Fired a no-hitter in a 2-0 quarterfinal victory over Wayzata in the Class 3A state tournament…Pitched the Cardinals to their third section title in five seasons with an 8-1 victory over Maple Grove in the Section 5AAA Championship Game…Permitted two hits and yielded an unearned run over seven innings, with nine strikeouts and zero walks…Also delivered at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a first-inning RBI single…Threw a one-hitter in Coon Rapids’ Section 7AAA opener, allowing just a bunt for a base-hit…Was a first-team all-state selection and the Star-Tribune’s Metro Player of the Year in 2012, when he was 6-0 with a 0.80 ERA and 51 strikeouts…Made the 28-man cut for the 2012 USA 18-U National Team…Member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and also lettered in hockey at Coon Rapids…Volunteered on behalf of youth baseball programs and Feed My Starving Children, which sends meals to malnourished children around the world.
