AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Ranked second on the Gators with 28 appearances and was 1-0 with one save and a 3.15 earned run average…Over 34.1 innings, the southpaw totaled a career-high 33 strikeouts and surrendered six walks…In 10 SEC outings and 15.2 innings, he boasted a walk-to-strikeout ratio of 13:1 and had a 3.45 ERA…Helped Florida oust No. 8 Miami (FL) from the 2015 NCAA College World with three shutout and hitless innings in which he tied his career high of three strikeouts…Chipped in with three scoreless efforts during the Gators’ successful run to the SEC Tournament Championship…Closed the victory over No. 9 Vanderbilt with three strikeouts and zero runs over 1.2 IP…Came through with two shutout frames and tallied three K in the semifinal triumph over No. 1 LSU…Notched the save in UF’s 4-3 win over Auburn that evened the series with a pair of perfect innings and a couple of strikeouts…Contributed a season-high four innings during the mid-week home win over USF, giving up one hit and no runs to the Bulls…Had four strikeouts in 4.1 innings and two appearances at Georgia…Collected the victory against No. 9 UCF (2.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 K)…Called upon twice in the series versus No. 8 Miami (FL) at McKethan Stadium…Finished up the series-clinching victory over Rhode Island with a clean ninth inning.

 

AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Led the Gator pitching staff and tied for the top spot in the SEC with 32 appearances and was 3-0 with a 2.40 ERA and two saves in 41.1 innings…Struck out 22 batters and permitted only five walks…Was 2-0 and compiled a 2.53 ERA in 14 SEC games spanning 21.1 innings…Did not allow any earned runs in his two outings at the SEC Tournament…Scattered three hits over 4.1 innings as Florida edged Kentucky, 6-5, in an elimination game…Had thrown two scoreless frames in the first meeting with the Wildcats at Regions Park…Collected the first two saves of his collegiate career as the Orange and Blue secured the SEC Championship at Tennessee…Enjoyed a run of 13-consecutive appearances without yielding a run between April 12-May 16…Tied career-long stint of 4.2 innings during 3-0 setback to No. 10 Vanderbilt (3 H, 0 R, 2 K)…Earned the victory as the Gators completed their first sweep of No. 20 Alabama in Tuscaloosa since 1988…Registered three strikeouts against Florida A&M…Tossed four innings of one-hit ball and did not allow any runs in 7-1 win at FGCU…Worked 1.1 innings as UF edged No. 4 South Carolina in 13 innings to even the series in Columbia…Made his first career start in the finale at No. 19 Kentucky (2.2 IP, 6 H, 2 R)…Picked up his first career win as the Gators swept No. 4 LSU at McKethan Stadium…Gave up two hits over 4.2 shutout innings to the Tigers…Had a pair of strong efforts during the series at No. 17 Miami (FL), including striking out all three batters he faced during the series opener…First career K came in the 8-7 victory over North Florida.

 

SUMMER: Played for the Madison (Wis.) Mallards of the Northwoods League in 2014 with Gator teammate Peter Alonso…Was 3-0 with a 1.92 ERA in nine appearances and made five starts…Registered 30 strikeouts in 28 innings and allowed only three walks…Ranked No. 25 on the Northwoods League Top 200 released by the league office…Worked six innings to pick up victories in consecutive starts against Kalamazoo (1 R, 2 H, 5 K on July 2 and 2 R, 4 H, 5 K on July 7)…Notched a season-high eight strikeouts over four innings at Green Bay on June 26…Did not allow any hits or runs and had four K in hurling the first three innings versus Battle Creek on June 18.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Left-hander from Alachua High School who played for head coach Todd Gray…Ranked as the No. 10 left-hander in the state of Florida in the Class of 2013 Final Rankings from Perfect Game…Was named to Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason Florida All-Region Second Team prior to his senior year…Three-time all-area selection by the Gainesville Sun…Had a 4-4 mark with a 1.30 ERA and 77 strikeouts in his final prep season, when he served as the team’s captain…Went 5-2 as a junior with a 1.52 ERA, striking out 68 batters in 59.1 innings pitched…Pitched the Raiders to their first regional playoff victory since 2003 with six shutout innings in a 5-0 triumph over Ocala Trinity Catholic in a Class 4A Region 2 quarterfinal…Was 6-1 with a 2.21 during his sophomore season, with 47 strikeouts in 50.2 innings…Helped Santa Fe win the district title.
