AS A SOPHOMORE (2014): Appeared in one game for the Gators and issued a walk to the lone batter he faced at No. 17 Miami on Feb. 22.

 

AS A FRESHMAN (2013): Was 3-1 with a 3.08 earned average in 16 appearances, with four starts (Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and South Carolina)…Registered 26 strikeouts and issued 15 walks in 38 innings, while holding opponents to a .188 clip…Had a 1-0 SEC record with a 4.05 ERA in seven outings and four starts spanning 20 innings…Retired all six batters he faced and collected two strikeouts in the series finale at Georgia…Worked 4.1 innings in the opener with No. 11 Ole Miss but was not involved in the decision after allowing four hits and three runs, with four walks and three strikeouts, in 4.1 innings…Worked five strong innings for his first SEC win in his second collegiate start at No. 2 Vanderbilt and combined on a three-hitter with Danny Young (1.2 IP) and Ryan Harris (2.1 IP)…Carmichael set down nine-straight Commodores at one point and limited them to three hits over five frames…Held No. 10 Kentucky to one run over 5.2 innings in his starting debut during the Gators’ SEC opener…Earned the victory with a 5.2-inning relief stint as Florida edged Indiana…Totaled four K against the Hoosiers…Had a career-high five strikeouts over three innings in the series opener with No. 21 Miami (FL) and earned his first collegiate win in the series finale against the Hurricanes with two innings of scoreless ball.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Right-handed pitcher/outfielder for head coach Steve Larsen at Mariner High School…Earned first-team all-state, Fort Myers News Press first-team all-area and first-team all-county following his final season…Collected first-team all-area and all-conference accolades for three-straight seasons…Was 6-2 on the mound with a 1.31 ERA in 13 appearances, all starts…Struck out 94 batters and issued 34 walks in 69.1 innings…Batted .398 with a .538 slugging percentage and a .486 on-base percentage as a senior…Totaled 25 RBI, scored 22 runs and added 11 doubles…Rated No. 35 in the state of Florida in the Class of 2012 Rankings from Perfect Game, No. 11 among right-handers…Chosen as a High Honorable Mention Preseason All-American and to Rawlings’ Preseason Florida All-Region First Team by Perfect Game prior to his senior year…Participated in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Baseball Classic…Compiled an 8-2 mark with a 1.69 ERA, striking out 76 batters in 54 innings during his junior season, when he was named a First-Team Preseason All-American by Perfect Game…Hit .368 with 20 runs, 13 RBI, eight doubles and seven stolen bases…Pitched the Tritons to the Region 4A-3 championship game as a sophomore in 2010, when he was 7-2 with a 1.67 ERA and registered 78 strikeouts…Also batted .337 with a .422 slugging percentage that year.
