AS A FRESHMAN (2013): Saw action in 31 games, making seven starts (five in left field, two at designated hitter)…Batted .154 (6-for-39) with seven runs, six RBI, two walks, one homer and one double…Hit .071 (1-for-14) in 14 SEC contests, including two starts (at Vanderbilt as the designated hitter on March 23 and in left field at Georgia on May 17)…Played in the final two games of the Georgia series…Scored as a pinch-runner during the series opener against Auburn on Taylor Gushue’s seventh-inning single…Enjoyed a tremendous night in the rout of Florida A&M, going 2-for-2 with a career-high four RBI and his first career homer…Belted a three-run dinger in the sixth and added an RBI single in the eighth inning versus the Rattlers…Singled and scored in the finale at No. 3 LSU…Roped a pinch-hit RBI single in the 12-1 triumph over USF…Reached on a fielder’s choice and stole his first career base in the 4-0 shutout of No. 11 Ole Miss…In his first career start, he was 2-for-4 with his first career hit (a second-inning single to right field) and his first career double (in the fourth inning) against North Florida…Notched his first career RBI with a sacrifice fly in the series finale with Duke on the opening weekend of the campaign.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Outfielder from Providence High School who played for head coach Mac Mackiewitz…The Stallions captured the Class 3A state title in 2012 with a 2-0 victory over American Heritage…Providence ended the year on a 20-game winning streak and finished with an overall record of 27-5…Dicks was named a Louisville Slugger All-American and a MaxPreps Small Schools Baseball All-American as a senior, when he batted .384 with 33 runs, 21 RBI and 17 stolen bases…He was a first-team all-state selection in Class 3A and was a first-team pick on the Times-Union All-First Coast Baseball Team as well…Ranked No. 47 in the outfield nationally and No. 37 overall in the state of Florida by Perfect Game…First-team choice on Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason Florida All-Region Team…Participated in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Baseball Classic…Holds school’s career records for doubles, triples and stolen bases…Batted .424 and belted eight homers for the Stallions as a junior…Participated in the 2011 Under Armour All-America Game in August 2011 at Wrigley Field…As a sophomore in 2010, he batted .377 with 16 runs and a .597 slugging percentage…Was also a member of the football team at Providence and earned second-team all-state in Class 3A as a defensive back in his senior campaign.
