AS A SOPHOMORE (2013): Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the first time…Selected in the 17th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft at No. 506 overall by the New York Mets…Led the Gators with a 2.67 earned run average and had a 4-2 record in 29 appearances, with four starts…Collected 12 saves, one shy of the school’s single-season record shared by Danny Wheeler (1994) and Josh Fogg (1998)…Had a hand in 16 of Florida’s 29 wins on the campaign…Ranked second on the squad with 57 strikeouts and issued 16 walks in 67.1 innings…Opponents batted just .213 against Magliozzi…Sported a 2-1 mark and notched seven saves in 13 SEC outings…Totaled 23 strikeouts and gave up 11 walks in 32.2 innings of league action… Tied his career-best effort with six strikeouts versus Valparaiso (6.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R) at the NCAA Bloomington Regional and against Texas A&M (6.2 IP, 4 H, 5 R) at the SEC Tournament…Saved the series opener at Georgia for Jonathon Crawford with a scoreless ninth inning…Worked a career-high seven innings in the second meeting with Auburn, with five K and three runs allowed, but was not involved in the decision as the Gators plated four runs in the ninth to emerge victorious, 5-4…Earned the decision over Tennessee in 10 innings with a 2.1-inning stint in which he had three strikeouts…Preserved the pair of wins at Missouri with a combined 2.2 scoreless innings…Saved the first two triumphs during the sweep of No. 8 South Carolina…Captured his SEC starting debut by working 5.2 innings in which he allowed three runs at No. 17 Mississippi State…Fanned two of the three batters he faced to nail down the 5-3 victory over UCF…Twirled 3.2 innings to close out the Gators’ 4-0 shutout of No. 11 Ole Miss to take the series…Picked up his first career save in SEC play with a clean ninth to down Kentucky…Totaled six strikeouts over 3.1 shutout innings to grab the win at Jacksonville…Helped Florida even the series with No. 21 Miami (Fla.) in game two by going 1.1 innings and then closed the series finale against the Hurricanes as the Orange and Blue posted a 6-3 victory…Retired all four batters that he faced to save the Gators’ initial win of the campaign over Duke.

 

AS A FRESHMAN (2012): Appeared in 16 games, with six starts, and was 4-3 with a 5.03 ERA…Over 34 innings, he totaled 21 strikeouts and permitted five walks…Posted a 1-2 mark with a 4.70 ERA in four SEC outings spanning 7.2 innings…Pitched two-thirds of an inning in the NCAA Gainesville Regional final victory over Georgia Tech…Longest start of the season was 4.2 innings against USF on April 24, when he notched four strikeouts and gave up two runs (zero earned) but was not involved in the decision…Limited Tennessee to one run and two hits over a career-high five innings in relief of Karsten Whitson…Had Ole Miss leave the bases loaded in the seventh and the Gators rallied for six runs in the eighth during game two of the series, enabling him to pick up his first SEC win…Induced an inning-ending double play by Florida State in the top of the sixth inning in Jacksonville and UF plated three runs in the home part of the frame to emerge victorious…Collected a career-high six strikeouts over four innings of one-run ball to defeat Samford at McKethan Stadium…Earned his first collegiate win as Florida swept Miami (Fla.) in Coral Gables thanks to a five-run rally in the ninth…Made first start against Bethune-Cookman (3.2 IP, 5 H, 3 R)…First appearance came in the finale of the series with Cal State Fullerton.

 

SUMMER: Played for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape Cod League in the summer of 2012 with Gator teammate Casey Turgeon…Made 13 relief appearances and was 0-2 with two saves and a 2.60 ERA in 17.1 innings of work…Registered 25 strikeouts and issued nine walks…Opponents batted just .194 against him.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Right-hander from the Dexter School who played for head coach Dan Danato…Taken in the 35th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays with the 1,080th pick…Ranked No. 2 in the state of Massachusetts and rated No. 74 in the Class of 2011 Final Rankings from Perfect Game…Was named a first-team All-American by Louisville Slugger…Turned in a perfect 8-0 record with a 0.93 ERA…Totaled 82 strikeouts and permitted just eight walks…Participated in the 2010 AFLAC All-American Game held at PETCO Park in San Diego with future Gator teammates Josh Tobias and Sean Trent…As a junior, he was 7-0 with three saves and hit .427 with 36 RBI…Notched 73 strikeouts and allowed just six walks in 42 innings pitched, posting a 0.95 ERA…Member of Dexter’s hockey and Quiz Bowl teams.
