AS A SENIOR (2012): Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the first time…Saw time in 23 games, with three starts (2-3B, 1-2B), and batted .115 (3-for-26) with five walks, four runs and two RBI…Started at second game at Samford and was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored…Delivered a pinch-hit RBI single in the ninth inning of game two at Kentucky and was part of a double steal to lift UF to a 5-1 victory…Drew a walk in three-straight games from April 25-28…Started at third base in the second win over Bethune-Cookman and was 1-for-3 with an RBI single in the seventh inning…Earned a free pass against Florida A&M and scored on a two-run double by Justin Shafer.
AS A JUNIOR (2011): Played in 35 games, with 11 starts (10-3B, 1-2B), and hit .246 with 11 RBI, eight runs and four walks…Batted .273 (9-for-33) in 18 league games…Was 6-for-20 (.300) as a pinch hitter…Suffered a broken finger during the Vanderbilt series and made lone appearance of the postseason as a pinch hitter against South Carolina in game two of the CWS Championship Finals, when he grounded out…Went 1-for-3 (.333) over two games at Vanderbilt before being hurt…Started at third base and was 1-for-2 with his fourth double in the shutout of Bethune-Cookman…Was 2-for-6 (.333) and played in all three games as the Gators swept Ole Miss…Started on Saturday at third base and was 2-for-4 with a double and a towering homer…Had a pinch-hit single and scored in the eighth versus UCF…Came off the bench at third base in the series opener with Georgia and was 1-for-2 with an RBI fielder’s choice… Was 1-for-5 (.200) in two games at Mississippi State, highlighted by a two-run double with the bases loaded on Saturday…Provided the Gators with a 3-2 lead in the eighth in the home meeting with UCF with a two-out, pinch-hit single up the middle that brought in Paul Wilson…Started both games at third base against Winthrop and was 1-for-4 with two runs and a couple of walks…Provided quite a spark by going 4-for-4 in two outings at LSU…Gave the Gators a 4-3 lead in the fourth inning with a two-out, two-run pinch-hit single and added a solo homer to start the ninth on Sunday…The three hits and three RBI were career highs…Had a pinch-hit single in the ninth on Friday…Came through with a pinch-hit single with one down in the eighth against Florida State on March 15 and scored on Daniel Pigott’s game-tying two-run single…Flew out to right field to send the game into extra innings…Made his first start at second base against Georgia Southern…Delivered a pinch-hit double in the seventh in the win over FAU…Appeared in two of three games on opening weekend in the sweep of USF and went 0-for-2.
AT SANTA FE (2010): Played at Santa Fe College in 2010 for former Gator Johnny Wiggs, a two-year letterwinner at Florida in 1988 and 1989 who earned second-team All-SEC honors in 1988 and was part of the school’s first NCAA College World Series team…Earned second-team all-state accolades from the Florida Community College Activities Association (FCCAA)…A first-team Mid-Florida Conference selection, Moyer led Santa Fe with a .404 batting average, tied for the team lead with 12 homers and drove in 45 runs in 40 games played…Boasted a .762 slugging percentage and a .505 on-base percentage, pacing the Saints in both categories…Named the team’s Most Valuable Player…Was named the FCCAA Player of the Week on Feb. 16 after batting .583 (7-for-12) with three home runs and eight RBI in three games…Moyer started the week by going 4-for-4 with a pair of homers and three RBI against Hillsborough…In a doubleheader against South Florida on Feb. 13, he was 3-for-4 with a homer, five RBI, five walks and four runs.
AT PALM BEACH ATLANTIC (2009): Competed for Palm Beach Atlantic University and head coach Rob Avila during the 2009 season, when he was named to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) All-Region Team…Started all 46 games for the Sailfish and was third on the team with a .333 batting average…Paced the squad with seven homers and totaled 29 RBI…Was second in doubles (13) and ranked third in hits (60), runs (36) and walks (18).
SUMMER: Joined Gator teammates Alex Freedman and Vickash Ramjit on the Wilmington (N.C.) Sharks of the Coastal Plain League in 2011…Had a .224 (17-for-76) average in 24 games, with 23 starts…Notched 11 RBI, scored six runs, stole three bases in five attempts and had a pair of doubles…Played for the DeLand Suns in the Florida Collegiate Summer League in 2010…Batted .263 (20-for-76) in 21 games with seven RBI, six runs, three doubles and a triple.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended The Master’s Academy and played for head coach Ed Willis…Batted .445 with 52 RBI and nine homers as a senior…Named the Outstanding Player of the Year in the district and was named to the 2008 Preseason Under Armour All-America Team…Played a vital role as a part of the Orlando Scorpions’ club team, where he batted .409 and helped lead the Scorpions to a second place-finish in the Perfect Game WWBA Championships in Jupiter, Fla…Hit .345 as a junior and totaled 37 RBI and four homers…Turned in a .545 clip with 45 RBI and seven round-trippers during his sophomore campaign…Also enjoyed success on the gridiron as a wide receiver for the football team, where he collected 775 yards receiving and also scored 11 touchdowns.
