AS A SOPHOMORE (2014): Turned in a 5-2 record with a 2.48 earned run average and three saves in 20 appearances, including four starts…Was second on the squad with 51 strikeouts in 54.1 innings and limited opponents to a .221 batting average…Was 3-1 with a 2.56 ERA and a pair of saves in nine SEC outings, with four starts…Registered 31 strikeouts in 31.2 innings and league foes hit .204 against him…Chosen as the Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week and as the SEC Pitcher of the Week after twirling a one-hit shutout against Missouri…It was his third career start as Florida clinched its weekend series against the Tigers, 5-0…Rhodes’ effort was the only complete game of the season for the Gators, as well as the first CG and the first CG shutout for the Orange and Blue since March 30, 2013 (Jonathon Crawford vs. Ole Miss)…It was the fewest hits allowed in a complete game by a Florida pitcher since Crawford’s no-hitter against Bethune-Cookman in the NCAA Gainesville Regional on June 1, 2012…Surrendered only a second-inning double and retired the final 18 Missouri hitters of the game…Matched his career high of six strikeouts and the Tigers were 1-for-27 (.037) against him with two walks…Helped the Gators complete a doubleheader sweep of Georgia by surrendering one run over 5.1 innings…Took a no-decision in his first career start, a five-inning effort in the second game at No. 4 South Carolina…Rhodes scattered six hits, totaled four strikeouts and permitted two runs to the Gamecocks…Earned the win in the series opener against No. 4 LSU when he recorded the final two outs of the ninth and Justin Shafer belted a walk-off homer in the bottom of the frame for a 2-1 triumph…Struck out six Texas A&M batters over a career-long relief stint of six innings in College Station during the finale…Defeated No. 1 Florida State at McKethan Stadium by working three innings with four K and one run…Struck out six batters over the final 2.1 innings to pick up the save in the 1-0 blanking of Arkansas…Notched the victory over Southern Miss in Pensacola with four strikeouts and no runs in 3.2 innings…Registered first career save with four scoreless frames and four K in the 4-0 whitewash of FGCU…Put up two zeroes in the edging of North Florida.

 

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2013): Pitched in 13 games out of the bullpen, going 1-0 with a 4.42 ERA in 18.1 innings…Totaled 14 strikeouts and gave up 10 walks…Sported a 1-0 record and a 5.56 ERA in eight SEC outings spanning 11.1 innings…Logged a career-high 2.2 innings in the series opener against Auburn and had a personal-best three strikeouts…Threw 1.2 scoreless frames at No. 3 LSU…Notched a pair of strikeouts as the first Gator reliever out of the bullpen during the first meeting with Tennessee…Struck out two of the four batters he faced in the 12-1 win over USF…Earned his first collegiate victory when the Gators scored three runs in the eighth inning to edge No. 8 South Carolina, 4-3…Came through with 1.2 scoreless and hitless innings in the 15-inning triumph at Missouri…Twirled 2.2 scoreless innings and had two strikeouts during the Indiana series…Debuted with 1.1 innings of shutout ball and had a strikeout in his collegiate debut against Georgia Southern.

SUMMER: Rated the No. 20 prospect in the Northwoods League by Baseball America in 2013…Earned a spot on the league’s all-star teams for both the midseason and postseason…Started the NWL All-Star Game for the North squad…Pitched for the Waterloo (Iowa) Bucks and was 5-4 with a 3.18 ERA in 11 appearances and nine starts covering 59.1 innings…Totaled 74 strikeouts, the second-highest total in the league, and permitted 18 walks…Waterloo broke the NWL record for wins in a season with 51 and established three franchise records on its way to the organization’s first playoff appearance since 2002…Worked eight strong innings against eventual runner-up Duluth in the playoffs, yielding two runs on five hits over eight innings, but was saddled with a 2-1 defeat…Was named the league's Pitcher of the Night for his efforts in the Waterloo's 5-0 victory over Duluth in mid-June…Rhodes went seven innings and allowed only two hits and two walks…He also struck out seven batters to earn his second win of the season.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Right-hander from Venice High School who played for head coach Craig Faulkner…Had an 11-4 record with a 1.07 ERA during his prep career…Earned all-state recognition in Class 5A as a senior…Collected five wins and had a school-record five saves with a .348 batting average and 20 RBI last season as the Indians advanced to the regional quarterfinals and finished 20-7…Notched 80 strikeouts in 45 innings with a 1.35 ERA…Tossed a no-hitter against Charlotte High School in the Class 5-A-District 10 semifinals in which he had 16 strikeouts and issued one walk in the 3-0 victory…Named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2011 Sarasota Baseball Classic and also participated in Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Game…Had three complete games as a junior, when he compiled a 1.07 ERA and picked up six wins in 65.1 innings…Rhodes was named Venice’s Most Valuable Player and Best Pitcher that season.
