AS A SOPHOMORE (2013): Led Florida with 37 appearances, the highest total for a Gator pitcher since Connor Falkenbach’s school-record 51 outings in 2005…Collected a team-high five victories and was 5-4 with a 3.07 ERA in 58.2 innings, with 51 strikeouts and 15 walks…Rated third on the club in strikeouts, behind Jonathon Crawford (69) and Johnny Magliozzi (57)…Held foes to a .243 clip…Turned in a 2-2 mark with a 2.08 ERA in 16 SEC games…Registered 24 strikeouts, yielded nine walks and had a .217 batting average against him…Set down all six Valparaiso hitters he faced during the first elimination game of the NCAA Bloomington Regional…Took the loss against Austin Peay in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament…Tied his career high with four strikeouts over three shutout innings in the series finale with Auburn…Whiffed two of the three Florida Atlantic hitters he faced in the mid-week encounter…Had two scoreless outings during the series with Tennessee…Came through with three K in 1.2 innings in the 12-1 win over USF…Worked 4.2 innings of shutout ball during the final two games at No. 17 Mississippi State and tallied six strikeouts…Helped the Gators defeat No. 2 Vanderbilt in the series opener in Nashville with 2.1 scoreless and hitless frames…Earned the decision in the SEC opener against No. 10 Kentucky by tossing a pair of shutout frames and allowing zero hits in the 4-1 triumph…Credited with the home victory over Jacksonville when Florida won in walk-off fashion on a single by Connor Mitchell…Had three strikeouts and gave up one run in two innings to the Dolphins…Threw five scoreless frames in two appearances against Miami (Fla.)…Captured the series finale against Duke with 2.2 scoreless innings after keeping the Blue Devils off of the scoreboard for two innings in the season opener.H    

 

AS A FRESHMAN (2012): Appeared in 16 games out of the bullpen and sported a 2-0 record with a 3.38 ERA in 16 innings…Totaled 12 strikeouts and issued four walks while holding opponents to a .203 average…Did not permit any runs in 14 of his 16 appearances…Pitched in five SEC games spanning 2.2 innings…Registered a career-best three K at Samford on May 15…Earned the victory over North Florida by pitching a scoreless 11th inning when Mike Zunino roped a game-winning RBI double in the bottom of the frame…Worked a then-career-high three innings at No. 1 Florida State on April 10, retiring all nine batters he faced to collect his first collegiate win…Debuted with two strikeouts in one inning of work during the shutout of No. 19 UCF.

 

SUMMER: Made four relief appearances for the Bourne (Mass.) Braves of the Cape Cod League in 2013…Notched five strikeouts and gave up two runs over seven innings for a 2.57 ERA…Played for the Lakeshore (Wis.) Chinooks in the summer of 2012 and was rated No. 3 in Perfect Game’s Top Prospects for the Northwoods League…Made 14 appearances, with three starts, and was 1-3 with two saves a 1.48 ERA…Notched 49 strikeouts and allowed 10 walks in 42.2 innings…Totaled a season-high eight K in 5.2 innings his final outing of the summer…Twirled 8.1 innings of shutout ball and had six strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Battle Creek.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Right-hander from Jupiter High School who played for head coach Doug Ferguson…Taken in the 37th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Yankees with the 1,139th choice…Was a first-team Preseason All-American by Rawlings and named to the Florida All-Region First Team…Ranked No. 10 in the state of Florida and rated No. 60 in the Class of 2011 Final Rankings from Perfect Game…Named first-team all-county, all-area and all-conference after going 7-3 with a 1.04 ERA, 75 strikeouts and four complete games…Also played first base and outfield and had a .349 batting average…Chosen as the Most Valuable Player for the North team at the Dick Howser High School Baseball All-Star Game…Threw two hitless innings as the starter and was 1-for-3 with an RBI single…Fired a one-hitter against Dwyer and belted a two-run homer to help his team to a 2-0 win…Went 4-for-4 with six RBI and a pair of homers, including a walk-off grand slam, in a contest during his sophomore year.
