SUMMER: Played for the Yarmouth-Dennis (Mass.) Red Sox of the Cape Cod League last summer with Gator teammate Josh Tobias…Batted .315 with 16 RBI, 13 runs, four doubles and a pair of homers in 29 regular-season games as the Red Sox finished as the runner-up in the Eastern Division and were third overall in the regular-season standings before advancing to the CCBL Championship Series…Hit .273 (6-for-22) in seven playoff games, with seven RBI, four runs, three doubles and a couple of walks…Started all three contests of the Championship Series versus Wareham and contributed two RBI as the Gatemen won the title…Doubled and scored in the decisive third game but Wareham rallied with three runs in the ninth to forge a tie and plated three more runs in the 10th to seize the trophy by an 8-6 count…Helped his team even the series with a squeeze play with the bases loaded in the eighth that resulted an insurance run…Provided the Red Sox with a 2-0 lead in game one with an infield single and was 1-for-3 with a walk…Wareham rallied from a 4-2 deficit with single runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth inning to notch a 5-4 victory…Batted .333 (2-for-6) as Y-D swept its first-round playoff series against the Chatham Anglers…Went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in game two…Homered to lead off the third inning in the first meeting and was 1-for-2 with a walk.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Outfielder/right-handed pitcher from Lake Wales High School who played for head coach Jasone DeWitt…Earned all-state recognition in both baseball and football for the Highlanders...Co-recipient of the 2011 Polk County Male Amateur Athlete of the Year Award…Ranked No. 37 in the state of Florida according to Perfect Game…Was the PolkPreps.com 2011 Baseball Hitter of the Year…Posted a .535 batting average with 35 RBI, 26 stolen bases and a pair of homers and helped his squad to the regional finals…As a pitcher, the righty turned in a 6-2 record with a 1.98 ERA…Participated in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Baseball Classic…Led Lake Wales to the regional finals for the second year in a row as a junior…Batted .472 with 49 RBI and nine homers and was the 2010 Baseball Hitter of the Year…On the mound, he went 10-1 with a 1.03 ERA and had 90 strikeouts in 67.2 innings…Hurled a no-hitter against Winter Haven, one the top-hitting teams in the county…Was also the starting quarterback for the Highlanders’ football team…Named the 2010 News Chief’s Football Player of the Year after leading the county in passing with over 2,000 yards and 17 touchdowns…Led Lake Wales to the state semifinals in 2009 with 2,361 passing yards and 21 touchdowns…Named second-team all -state in Class 3A and was first-team All-Polk County.
