AS A JUNIOR (2011): Selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 23rd round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft with the 701st overall pick…Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll…In 32 games, including 11 starts (seven at designated hitter, three at first base and one at catcher), McMahan had a .236 (13-for-55) batting average with 10 runs, three RBI, two doubles and was 3-for-4 on the basepaths...Batted .273 (3-for-11) in eight SEC games...Flew out to center field as a pinch hitter to end the NCAA College World Series…Saw time in two games of the Gainesville Regional and was 1-for-2 with a walk...Was 1-for-3 (.333) in two games against Kentucky and scored a run...Served as the DH in the 4-1 win over UNF and was 1-for-3...Blasted a pinch-hit homer in the eighth inning to cap Florida’s 9-2 win over Alabama...It was his first dinger of the year and the first time that a Gator had a pinch-hit round-tripper since Jerico Weitzel had one against Ole Miss on March 28, 2010...Singled in game two against Mississippi State in his lone action of the weekend...Started at catcher in the triumph over Winthrop and was 1-for-3 with a sac fly...Drew a pinch-hit walk in the fourth inning in the home matchup with Florida State that loaded the bases and came in to play first base...Saw action in all three games during the sweep of Rhode Island, with two starts at DH and was 2-for-8 (.250) with three runs and two thefts...Had a season-high two runs in the finale...Started the opener with Miami (Fla.) at first base and went 1-for-3 with a run scored...Was 3-for-5 (.600) in two starts against Boston College...Went a perfect 2-for-2 in Friday’s win...Had a pinch-hit single in the opener...Made two starts (designated hitter and first base) and saw action in all three games to begin the campaign against USF...Walked, had a stolen base and scored in the finale...Had his first hit of the year on Saturday with a single and also scored.

 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2010): Played in 34 games, with 10 starts at catcher and five as the designated hitter and was 25-for-77 (.325) with 12 runs and 11 RBI...Played in 13 SEC games and was 10-for-29 (.345) with four runs and four RBI...Appeared in both games at the NCAA College World Series as a pinch hitter and was 0-for-2...Reached on a fielding error in the ninth against FSU and scored on Preston Tucker’s bases-clearing double...Appeared in two games of the NCAA Gainesville Regional...Had a pinch-hit single in the eighth and a sacrifice fly in the ninth against FAU...Drew a pinch-hit walk in the win over Oregon State...Started all four games in Mike Zunino’s absence at the SEC Tourney behind the plate...Had an infield hit, walked and had a stolen base in the win over Vanderbilt...Played in all three games against South Carolina, with starts at catcher (game two) and DH (game three)...Tied career and season high by driving in two runs in the finale, when he was 2-for-5...Scored a run in Friday’s 5-2 win...Played the final two games of the Georgia series and was 3-for-5 (.600)...Stole a career-high two bases and was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in game three...Bashed a walk-off homer to start the bottom of the ninth on Saturday, giving the Gators a 4-3 win...Went 2-for-2 off the bench at Alabama, delivering a pinch-hit RBI single on Friday and had a base-hit on Saturday...Started at DH in the midweek game at USF and was 1-for-4 with an RBI single...Served as the DH in the finale at Kentucky and was 1-for-4...Went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored in game two at Tennessee...Went 2-for-4 and scored twice in the victory over FGCU...Poked an RBI single in the fifth and stole the first base of his career...Had a pinch-hit single and scored in the triumph over Army...Started game one against Illinois State and was 1-for-4 with an infield hit that scored Austin Maddox...Came off the bench and was 1-for-2, highlighted by a two-out RBI single in the ninth inning in the encounter with Florida State in Tampa...Also scored on a base-hit by Josh Adams...Had a career night against Siena by going 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI - all personal bests...Had an infield hit in the second, a leadoff homer in the fourth and an RBI double in the sixth...It was also his first start of the year at DH.

 

AS A FRESHMAN (2009): Earned a berth on the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll…Saw time in 18 games and started four times at designated hitter and twice at catcher...Was 3-for-30 (.100) with five runs on the year...Caught the ninth inning of the NCAA Gainesville Regional final, as Billy Bullock closed out Miami (Fla.)...Fouled out in the ninth inning in the second meeting with Arkansas at the SEC Tournament...Started behind the dish at Stetson for the Gators, going 0-for-2 with a walk... Saw action in game two at Auburn and was 1-for-2 with a single and a walk…Also scored twice in the win over the Tigers that evened the series…Started at DH and was 1-for-4 at the plate with his first collegiate home run in the 16-3 win over UCF...Drew a walk as a pinch hitter during the epic ninth-inning comeback against Alabama in which Florida sent 11 batters to the plate and scored five runs with two outs...Scored the first run of his career in the 5-3 win over UNF after reaching on an error...His first career hit was a bunt single in the first inning in the 5-4 edging of Florida State...First collegiate start came in the second matchup with Eastern Michigan on Feb. 25…McMahan had come in as a defensive replacement in the initial meeting with the Eagles.

 

SUMMER: Was a member of the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the Cape Cod League in 2009 and 2010, winning of pair of Eastern Division titles and having the league’s top regular-season mark on both occasions…Batted .323 (21-for-65) with 13 runs, 10 RBI, six doubles and two homers in the ’10 regular season… In 2009, he started all 23 games he played behind the plate and batted .241 (19-for-79) with 13 runs, eight RBI, four doubles and three homers in the regular season…McMahan also started two of the three playoff games at catcher for the Red Sox.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Catcher from Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Orlando who played for head coach Dave Wheeler…Chosen in the 30th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Yankees with the 920th pick…Earned first-team all-state recognition in his final season, when he batted .330, drove in 45 runs, drew 40 walks and belted seven homers…Also collected all-county honors, was his team's Most Valuable Player and earned the Head Coach's Award…Chosen as second-team member of the Rawlings Preseason All-American Team…The Hornets were the 2007 Florida state champions in Class 4A…An honorable mention all-state selection, McMahan batted .380 with 27 runs batted in and eight home runs as a junior…Listed among the 2008 Top 100 High School Prospects by Baseball America and was No. 56 in the Class of 2008 Final Rankings from Perfect Game…Invited to the East Coast Professional Showcase and participated in the Florida Diamond Club Showcase.
