AS A FRESHMAN (2009): Named to the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll…In 11 appearances spanning 13 innings, Jolin was 0-0 with a 5.54 earned run average…He totaled 14 strikeouts and six walks and contributed six scoreless outings…Had a career-high three K in two innings in the 12-3 victory over FGCU in Fort Myers…Fanned two of the three batters he faced against Stetson…Worked a season-high 2.1 innings in the second win over Tennessee, surrendering three hits and two runs…Kept Eastern Michigan off the board for two innings and had two punchouts on Feb. 24…Was the first reliever out of the Gator bullpen against No. 8 Louisville in the second game of the series and gave up two hits and two runs with a pair of strikeouts during the 10-4 triumph.  

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Right-handed pitcher from Guilford High School who played for head coach Pete Civitello…The Indians captured the Connecticut state title in 2007 with a 22-4 record and advanced to the semifinal round of the tournament in 2008…Named the 2007 Player of the Year by Sporting News Connecticut and was an all-state selection after leading Guilford to its first state championship in school history…Participated in the 35th annual Connecticut High School Coaches Association senior All-Star baseball games last June…In his senior season, Jolin had a 5-3 record with a 2.83 ERA and also batted .316 with 19 RBI… Had a no-hitter in the 2007 Class L title game, a 1-0 win over Pomperaug-Southbury…Finished his junior season with a 10-1 record, two saves and a 1.19 ERA…Over 76.2 innings, he registered 86 strikeouts and yielded 12 walks…Collected Most Valuable Player accolades from the New Haven Register…Helped Guilford to its first-ever Southern Connecticut Conference title with a 7-1 victory over top-seeded Amity…Tossed a complete game and provided all of the offense that the Indians would need with a first-inning grand slam, a performance that earned him Tournament MVP honors…Was the starting pitcher for the East team in the Junior Select All-Star Game and was an All-SCC Hammonasett Division Team recipient… Was a member of the National Honor Society and the jazz band at Guilford…Was also a two-time captain of the Indians' varsity hockey team and was a GHS Scholar-Athlete three-straight years.
