AS A SENIOR (2009): Taken by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim with the 681st choice in the 22nd round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft…Sported a 5-2 record with a 4.32 earned run average in a team-leading 66.2 innings and also led the Gators with 12 starts…Registered 48 strikeouts and issued 18 walks...Went 4-1 in seven SEC starts and compiled a 4.94 ERA in a team-high 47.1 innings…Chosen to the NCAA Gainesville Regional All-Tournament Team after limiting No. 17 Miami (Fla.) to six singles and zero earned runs over 7.1 innings in a winner’s bracket contest on May 30…Took the loss in the SEC Tournament opener against Arkansas despite not yielding an earned run in 3.2 innings of work…Helped the Orange and Blue secure its first Eastern Division crown since 2005 with a 7.1- inning stint in the triumph over Kentucky…Threw a season-high 8.1 innings to defeat South Carolina on April 24, a game in which had six K and allowed six hits and two earned runs…Went 7.2 innings as the Gators evened the series with Ole Miss, scattering eight hits and recording five strikeouts…Earned first win of the campaign with eight innings of two-run ball at Auburn and had six punchouts…Initial SEC start came at Vanderbilt on April 5, when he gave up five hits and two runs over five frames but was not involved in the decision…Struck out two batters in two innings in his season debut versus UNF on March 25.  

 

AS A JUNIOR (2008): Rated second on the Gators behind Patrick Keating (14) with 12 starts…Turned in a 5-2 ledger and registered a 3.17 ERA in a career-high 21 appearances…Struck out 46 batters and allowed 13 walks in 82.1 innings…Had the lowest ERA of any Florida pitcher in SEC play with a 2.91 mark…Twirled the first two complete games of his career against fifth-ranked Georgia (April 26) and Alabama (May 10)…Collected saves versus Tennessee (April 6) and Arkansas (April 12)…Started UF's first contest at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional against Tulane and departed with the lead in the seventh inning…The southpaw gave up 10 hits to the Green Wave and was charged with three runs…Clinched the series victory over Vanderbilt with a seven-inning effort in which he yielded three runs and the hosts hung on for a 5-4 win…Went the distance on 96 pitches at Alabama, surrendering six singles and a double, in a 6-2 victory…In his second weekend start of the year, Locke scattered eight hits and allowed two runs in hurling all nine innings in a 7-2 win over Georgia on April 26…The Orange and Blue’s win squared the weekend series at McKethan Stadium and ended the Bulldogs’ 12-game unbeaten streak in league action…Totaled three K and fired two scoreless innings to preserve the victory over Arkansas on April 12…Delivered three scoreless and hitless innings to pick up his first career save in the finale at Tennessee…Kept the high-powered Florida State offense off the scoreboard over 5.1 innings in a 6-1 win in Gainesville on March 18…Claimed his season debut by working five innings and registering four strikeouts in a 15-2 romp over Eastern Michigan on Feb. 27…It was the lefty's first win since March 17, 2007 against Mississippi State.

 

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2007): Compiled a 3-3 record over nine starts, with a 6.95 ERA…Surrendered 55 hits in 33.2 innings of work…Registered 11 strikeouts and permitted seven walks…Final action of the season came at top-ranked Florida State on April 18, when he worked one inning (3 H, 1 R)…Pitched 2.1 innings, giving up six hits and three runs, in the 6-2 setback to UCF…Earned the decision in the 10-8 victory over Mississippi State by going six frames in which he allowed nine hits and six runs…Threw a career-high seven innings, scattering seven hits, in the 7-0 blanking of Kent State on Feb. 24…Tossed four innings in the 7-5 triumph over fifth-ranked Miami (Fla.) but was not involved in the decision.

 

(2006): Underwent 'Tommy John' surgery in September of 2005 and was sidelined for the entire campaign.

 

AS A FRESHMAN (2005): Selected as a Collegiate Baseball Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American…Named to the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll…Made 11 starts in 16 appearances during the campaign, compiling a 4.04 ERA in 64.2 innings of work…Struck out 46 batters and allowed just 14 walks on the year…Claimed his first five decisions and finished with a 5-2 record…Allowed one walk or less in 13 of his 16 appearances…Started the opening game of the College World Series championship round versus Texas on June 25, surrendering four earned runs on five hits over four innings to take the loss…Struck out seven batters in 5.1 innings of work against Arkansas in the opening game of the SEC Tournament May 25…Pitched 3.1 innings in a starting role during a 6-4 triumph over Stetson May 18, allowing six hits and three earned runs…Tossed 4.0 innings apiece against Florida State and South Florida in consecutive mid-week starts in early May…Hurled 5.0 innings with four strikeouts versus Alabama on April 17…Registered a season-high seven K and did not allow a run in 5.2 innings of work in the finale Georgia to pick up his fifth victory of the season…Tossed 5.2 strong innings at Florida State on March 30 and allowed only one unearned run in a 9-2 triumph over the Seminoles…Made back-to-back six-inning starts versus UNC Asheville and Michigan State, earning a pair of wins and striking out 11 batters in the two games combined…Picked up his first win of his career with four innings of work in his collegiate debut versus Florida A&M on Feb. 15…Struck out four batters and did not issue any walks against the Rattlers.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Jim Macaluso at King High School…Third-team all-state selection as a senior…Was 8-1 on the mound with a 0.81 ERA and struck out 80 batters in 52 innings…Had a school-record stretch of 47 consecutive scoreless innings that lasted from the end of his junior campaign into the middle of his senior season…Helped the Lions to a 20-4-1 mark in his junior season and an appearance in the regional finals…Squad captured its second-consecutive district championship…Was tabbed as the both the team's Most Valuable Player and its Pitcher of the Year…Also collected first-team all-conference honors after finishing 8-1 with a 1.15 ERA in 80 innings….Earned second-team all-league recognition as a sophomore, when he was 6-1 with a 2.03 ERA in 65 innings…King reached the regional semifinals and was 18-10.
