AS A SENIOR (2010): Pitched in three games and was 1-0 with a spotless earned run average in 3.2 innings…Retired both batters he faced against Vanderbilt on April 4…Threw a scoreless inning in the finale at Ole Miss…Notched the victory against FGCU on March 24 with two shutout innings.

 

AS A JUNIOR (2009): Saw action in nine games out of the bullpen and was 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA in 15 innings…Both of Franklin’s wins came in SEC play and the right-hander compiled a 2.08 ERA in four league appearances totaling 8.2 innings…Left-handers were just 1-for-15 (.067) against him and opponents batted .176 (3-for-17) with two outs…Earned the victory in the series opener against Alabama by matching a career high with four innings in which he held the Crimson Tide scoreless and allowed one hit…Threw two scoreless frames at UNF…Claimed the win in the second meeting with Tennessee with 3.2 strong innings in which he failed to give up a hit or a run to the Vols…Struck out two batters in his season debut versus Duquesne, a two-inning stint on March 6.

 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2008): Ranked second on the Gators with 27 appearances, trailing only Tony Davis (34)…Was an even 3-3 with a 3.23 ERA and collected a pair of saves…In 39 innings, the righty registered 21 strikeouts and permitted 14 walks…Held foes to a .256 average with runners on base…Put together a stretch of five-straight appearances without giving up a run between April 13 and May 7 and had a run of eight appearances in a row without allowing an earned run from April 9-May 7…Threw two scoreless frames in the 3-2 edging of North Florida to pick up a save…Equaled his career high of three strikeouts and recorded the win over Jacksonville at home on March 25…Hurled three innings, allowing five hits and two runs (zero earned), to claim his first career save against Auburn on March 16…Went a career-long four innings and held Brown scoreless in UF's 8-7 win that was secured on Avery Barnes' walk-off single…Captured the series finale at Miami (Fla.) on March 2 with a couple of scoreless and hitless innings in Coral Gables.

 

AS A FRESHMAN (2007): Went 0-2 in eight appearances and made three starts (Stetson, Florida State and North Florida)…Totaled 10 strikeouts and issued eight walks in 14 innings…Took the loss in the Gators' final non-conference game of the year versus UNF after allowing six runs on three hits and three walks to the Ospreys…Was not involved in the decision as UF knocked off No. 1 Florida State in Jacksonville…Pitched the first two innings (5 H, 3 ER) in the 16-7 victory over the Seminoles…First road action was a three-inning stint at No. 9 Texas A&M in which he surrendered five hits and three runs…Hurled two innings as the Gators completed a doubleheader sweep of George Washington with a 7-1 victory on March 3…Closed the 15-1 romp over Florida A&M on Feb. 13 and collected his first strikeout.   

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Timber Creek High School, where he played for Scott Grove…Proved to be a double threat in helping head coach Bob McCullough's Lyman High School squad to the district championship in 2005…On the mound, he was 7-2, posted the team's lowest ERA (1.33) and collected the most strikeouts (74 in 62 innings)…Fired a no-hitter and batted .342 with 12 stolen bases on his way to first-team Seminole Athletic Conference accolades...As a sophomore, he earned second-team all-league mention after going 7-2 with a 1.21 ERA and notching 70 strikeouts in 69 innings…Was a member of the Orlando Scorpions team that finished as the World Wood Bat Association (WWBA) runner-up in Atlanta, Ga…Bowling, cross country and swimming are other sports in which he has participated.
