AS A JUNIOR (2009): Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the second time…Chosen in the 12th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft with the 372nd choice by the Minnesota Twins…Was a perfect 5-0 and led the Gator pitching staff with a 2.25 earned run average…Over 32 appearances, the southpaw limited foes to a .190 effort at the plate and notched 37 strikeouts in a career-high 44.0 innings…Earned his initial win of the campaign in the Orange and Blue’s 5-4 victory over No. 17 Florida State on St. Patrick’s Day and defeated SEC East rivals Tennessee, Vanderbilt and South Carolina…In 15 league appearances, a total which matched Billy Bullock for the team high, Davis turned in a 3-0 mark and a 2.18 ERA…He also registered 23 K in 20.2 innings of work…Proved to be Florida’s most effective pitcher during the postseason, compiling a 0.90 ERA in six appearances totaling 10 innings…Was a bright spot in the NCAA Super Regional against Southern Miss, giving up one hit and one run in 4.1 innings over the two games…Established a career high with a 3.2-inning stint out of the bullpen in game two…Fired 2.2 scoreless innings during Regional action…Equaled his career best of four strikeouts over 3.1 innings against Kentucky on May 15…Held eventual national champion LSU scoreless over three innings in a 4-0 setback at Alex Box Stadium…Appeared in all three games during the sweep of No. 6 Georgia…Collected the Gators’ second win over South Carolina with three K in two innings…Had four punchouts in three innings against No. 16 Ole Miss on April 17…Was credited with the victory in the opener at Vanderbilt, when he delivered four strikeouts and held the Commodores scoreless and hitless over 3.1 innings…Pitched the ninth against Florida State at McKethan Stadium and then earned the victory when Buddy Munroe came through with a walk-off single with the bases loaded…Soon after, Davis was able to celebrate his first win since March 31, 2007, at Georgia.  

 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2008): Made the SEC Academic Honor Roll…Paced the Gators and was among the SEC leaders with 34 appearances, all out of the bullpen…Was 0-2 with a 5.12 ERA in 19.1 innings…Did not permit any earned runs in his first 10 appearances…Limited left-handed batters to a .225 (9-for-40) clip…Of the 24 hits he surrendered, just two went for extra bases…Appeared in 15 of UF's 30 SEC contests and was 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA…Participated in three of the squad's four postseason outings…In 18 games at McKethan Stadium, Davis sported a 2.45 ERA…Took the loss in the season finale at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional against Florida State after matching his season high of 1.2 innings…Entered the matchup with the Seminoles having not given up in earned run in six-straight appearances but was charged with three runs on four hits and a walk…Held Vanderbilt scoreless for 1.1 innings at the SEC Tournament…Enjoyed a stretch of seven scoreless appearances in a row between April 6 at Tennessee through April 18 at Kentucky…Had a season-high three strikeouts in the third meeting with LSU…Played in all three games at Miami (Fla.) and did not allow any hits or runs in 1.1 IP…Struck out two of the four batters he faced against Eastern Michigan on Feb. 27.

 

AS A FRESHMAN (2007): In seven appearances, spanning 17.1 innings, Davis was 2-2 and compiled a 7.27 ERA…All four of the southpaw's starts came in SEC play against Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas and Kentucky…Earned his first victory with 2.2 scoreless and hitless innings in the 5-3 win over Bethune-Cookman on March 27…Had an impressive starting debut, holding UGA to one run on five hits in 5.1 innings on March 31 in Athens…The Gators cruised to a 9-1 triumph on their way to a sweep of the Bulldogs…Walked a season-high five batters and gave up four runs over 2.2 IP to No. 4 South Carolina but was not involved in the decision as UF pulled out a 9-8 victory on Cody Neer's three-run walk-off homer…Davis took the loss in his final two appearances of the season, falling to fifth-ranked Arkansas and Kentucky. 

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Paul Herfurth at North Broward Prep…Earned second-team all-state recognition in Class 3A as a senior, when he was a perfect 6-0 with a 0.58 ERA…Registered 68 strikeouts in 54 innings and notched 14 pickoffs…Threw a complete-game, two-hit shutout against Westminster Academy in which he had eight K and zero walks...Collected first-team all-county honors from the Miami Herald and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel in 2005, when he was 2-0 with a 1.35 ERA and had 72 strikeouts in 46 innings…Added a .390 batting average and had 10 pickoffs as the Eagles finished 15-10…Played with the All-American Prospects in the summer of 2005 and was 2-0 with a 1.15 ERA…Turned in a 4-0 mark with a 2.75 ERA for Team Florida USA that summer…Was inducted into the National Honor Society at North Broward Prep and appeared in Who's Who Among American High School Students.
