AS A FRESHMAN (2007): Named a first-team Freshman All-American by Baseball America and and was also named to Louisville Slugger's Freshman All-American Team by Collegiate Baseball…One of three Gators on the SEC All-Freshman Team...Sported a .332 batting average with 50 RBI, 48 runs and belted 11 homers...Seven of his 11 dingers were solo shots...Held the team lead with 30 multiple-hit games and matched Matt LaPorta with 13 multiple-RBI games...Started the first 17 games of the year at second base and shifted to shortstop for game three at Texas A&M, a spot he held for the final 41 games...Was third on Florida with a .338 SEC average...Drove in 29 runs and scored 26 times against league foes...Powered the Gators at the SEC Tourney with a sizzling .538 (7-for-13) performance and three-consecutive multi-hit outings...Capped the campaign with a 3-for-5 effort versus South Carolina after going 2-for-3 with a career-high two thefts in the 3-2 win over Alabama... Closed the regular season with a .375 (6-for-16) effort in the set with Tennessee...Had two hits in all three games against the Vols...Was 2-for-5 in the opener with a double...Belted two homers, including his first career grand slam and a solo shot, in the 20-2 victory...Established a career high with five RBI and was 2-for-6...Went 4-for-16 (.250) at LSU and matched his season-best of three hits in the 19-3 caging of the Tigers...Was 5-for-15 (.333) in the series with Alabama, recovering from an 0-for-5 opener to go five for his last 10...Socked a two-run homer in the seventh to bring UF within 5-3 in the finale...Went 3-for-4 and scored a season-high three runs in Saturday’s 9-3 win...Continued torrid pace with a team-best .500 (6-for-12) clip at Vanderbilt and was 14-for-25 (.560) over the six-game stretch against East rivals VU and Kentucky...Turned in three-straight two-hit outings in the series in Nashville...Was 2-for-3 and scored twice on Sunday and drove in the Gators’ lone run on Friday with an RBI single in the eighth off All-American David Price...Led the Orange and Blue with a .615 (8-for-13) weekend versus Kentucky and scored a team-high five runs...Had multi-hit efforts in all three games, including three both Friday and Sunday...Went 3-for-5 and scored twice in the 5-4 thriller after going 2-for-4 with two runs and an HBP on Saturday...Was 0-for-4 in his homecoming to Tallahassee with a walk and scored a run...Went 3-for-13 (.231) at Arkansas, featuring a 2-for-5 effort in game one...Tied the opener at 1-1 with a solo shot off All-American Nick Schmidt in the third inning and drove in a run with a grounder in the seventh...Delivered an RBI single in the ninth against UCF to narrow the gap to 6-2...Was 3-for-12 (.250) in the South Carolina series after going 1-for-4 with two RBI and a pair of walks in game three...Went 2-for-5 during UF’s 9-8 thriller...At Georgia, Figueroa was 4-for-15 (.267)...Figueroa’s 12-game hitting streak came to an end on March 27, when he went 0-for-4 against Bethune-Cookman...Batted .339 (19-for-56) during the skein, with 12 RBI, eight runs and did not draw any walks...Was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI fielder’s choice in the 16-7 win over No. 1 Florida State...Completed the sweep of UGA by chipping in with two hits...Had at least one hit in all three games of the series...Closed the Auburn trip with two hits in the finale, including a double, after driving in two runs during each of the first two games...Was 4-for-16 (.250) in the sweep of the Tigers...Provided the game-winning hit with an RBI single in the 10th to lift UF to an 8-7 triumph in the opener...Led the Gators by going 3-for-4 at Stetson...Collected three singles in his first three at bats against the Hatters...Debuted in SEC play with a .357 (5-for-14) showing in the Mississippi State series...Extended his hitting streak to eight games with an infield hit in game three and had an RBI fielder’s choice...Set a career high with three hits on Saturday, when he was 3-for-5...Poked a run-scoring single in the opener with MSU that gave the Gators a 5-1 cushion...Moved to the cleanup spot against Army and was 2-for-4 with a key RBI double in the fifth that put the home team on the board...Second on the squad with a .308 (4-for-13) effort at A&M, highlighted by a 2-for-5 performance in game two...Belted a two-run homer in the fifth to give UF a 5-2 lead over Jacksonville...Extended hitting streak to seven games with a seventh-inning single at USF and brought Florida within 5-4 with an RBI groundout in the ninth...UF went on to post a 10-5 triumph...Led the Gators with a .400 (4-for-10) performance against Kent State...Tallied a career-high three RBI in game two, when he was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a run-scoring single...Was 2-for-5 with two runs and his third round-tripper in the meeting with Florida State...Started three games at second base before missing the Florida A&M matchup while recovering from an illness...Recovered in time for the Miami (Fla.) series...Ranked second on the Gators with a .308 (4-for-13) performance against the Hurricanes, highlighted by two hits in each of the final two games...Tied game two with a round-tripper to open the third...Belted a solo homer to begin the home part of the eighth in the 7-0 blanking of VMI...Was 2-for-5 and scored twice during that contest...Collected two hits in the season opener.


SUMMER: Started at second base in the 2007 Cape Cod League All-Star Game representing the Harwich Mariners but played shortstop throughout the summer…Led the team's starters with a .281 average and was among the club leaders in total bases (49), hits (41), walks (18), runs (14) and RBI (13). 


HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Joe Vallese at Lincoln High School…Chosen in the ninth round of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays with the 270th choice…Hit a scorching .563 with 70 runs batted in and eight homers as a senior, when he was the first-team all-state shortstop in Class 5A…Named the Tallahassee All-Big Bend Player of the Year and earned LHS' Most Valuable Player award…The Trojans won the district title and advanced to the regional quarterfinals…Was the starting shortstop in the Florida Athletic Coaches' Association All-Star Game…Hit .431 with 53 RBI and 15 doubles, 15 stolen bases and eight homers in 53 games for the Florida Bombers in the summer of '06…The Bombers advanced to the semifinals of the Connie Mack World Series held in Farmington, N.M.
