AS A SOPHOMORE (2006): Limited to one appearance due to injury woes…Pitched one inning against Vanderbilt on April 2, the final game of the weekend series at McKethan Stadium…Gave up three hits and three runs with one walk.

AT NORTH CAROLINA (2005): Emerged as one of the Tar Heels' top midweek starters…North Carolina finished 41-19-1 overall, 17-10-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and advanced to the NCAA Gainesville Regional, where it finished 1-2…Appeared in 11 games and made eight starts…Posted a 3-1 record and a 3.38 earned run average in 42.2 innings…Fanned 38 batters and walked just 15…Held opponents to a .250 average…Did not allow a run over his first two career starts against Princeton and Towson in a combined 11 innings…Picked up his first career win after allowing just one hit in seven shutout innings versus Towson on March 23…Tossed a complete-game shutout with a career-best 10 strikeouts against Davidson on April 12…Allowed just two runs and fanned seven against VCU on April 20…Earned third win of the season with three shutout innings against East Carolina on May 17.
