AS A JUNIOR (2006): Enjoyed a breakout season for the Gators, resulting in a 12th-round selection in June's Major League Baseball Draft by Seattle with the 351st pick…Signed with the Mariners' organization and was assigned to the Everett (Wash.) AquaSox of the Northwest League…Led Florida with career highs in batting average (.304), total bases (99), runs batted in (41), hit by pitches (13) and slugging percentage (.547)…Finished second on the squad with 11 homers and eight stolen bases...Tied Adam Davis for the team with 18 multi-hit outings and matched Matt LaPorta for the top spot with 11 multiple-RBI games...Was UF's top hitter in SEC games with a .322 effort, with 19 RBI, 17 runs and six homers...Had a .362 clip with runners in scoring position...Went 1-for-4 and equaled his career-high of two stolen bases in the 10-5 win over LSU to end the year…Batted .500 (4-for-8) at Alabama...Was 3-for-5 in UF's 4-3 win in the opener with a home run, triple and a single...Rated second on the Gators with a .364 (4-for-11) average at Mississippi State...Keyed the win by going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs, including his seventh double...Missed the final two games against Georgia with a hamstring injury... AS A SOPHOMORE (2005): Batted .292 on the season with 20 RBI, nine doubles and three home runs...Was 8-for-13 on the basepaths…Played in 67 of the Gators' 71 games, making 56 starts in left field, two in right field and one in center field... Participated in the football team's spring drills but did not compete in the Orange and Blue Spring Game since baseball was at Georgia...Remained second on Urban Meyer's quarterback depth chart behind incumbent Chris Leak…Hit .211 (4-for-19) in the NCAA College World Series and batted .270 (10-for-37) in Florida's 11 NCAA Tournament games...Scored UF's lone run in a 6-1 setback to Arizona State on June 22...Went 1-for-4 in the win over Nebraska and made a pair of running grabs in left field to prevent hopes of a Husker rally...Was 2-for-3 versus league rival Tennessee in the CWS opener...Led the Gators with a .571 (4-for-7) clip in the Super Regional matchup with Florida State and drove in three runs...Roped an RBI double in the sixth inning of the second game against the Seminoles...Had connected on a two-run single in the series opener...Third on the squad with a .385 (5-for-13) performance at the SEC Tournament, including a 4-for-10 (.400) showing in the three meetings with Ole Miss...Came across the plate a career-high four times and was 3-for-4 in the 18-9 triumph over Tennessee on April 30...Matched season and career-long hitting streak of seven games with an RBI single at FSU on April 19...Went 4-for-13 (.286) against Alabama...Delivered his second homer of the campaign with a two-run blast in the first inning of the series finale and was 2-for-4 in the 9-6 setback...Had a hit in each encounter with Georgia and finished the series 4-for-13 (.308)...Tied career-best with a two-run single in the third game...Went 3-for-4 and scored three runs in the opener against Kentucky...Bruised his right heel in the second meeting with the Wildcats and sat out Sunday's game...Made a triumphant return to hometown of Tallahassee with a season-high two RBI and was 2-for-4 in 9-2 conquest of FSU on April 30...Robbed South Carolina of two potential home runs in the series finale...Rated second on UF with a .500 performance against Michigan State...Set a career high with three hits and belted a solo homer in the third inning for his first round-tripper of the year on March 13...Went 2-for-3 in the 8-5 defeat to UNCA and also notched an RBI, a double and a stolen base...Legged out an infield hit and scored against Mercer on March 1...Walked, stole a base and scored in 6-0 blanking of Rhode Island on Feb. 26...Enjoyed a perfect 2-for-2 evening in the decisive win over FAMU...Mashed the second double of his career and also swiped his first bag of the year.

AS A FRESHMAN (2004): Played in 34 games, including one start in center field...Batted .273 with a home run and a double in 22 at bats…Scored 12 times and had a .455 slugging percentage...Did not commit an error in the field and had 16 putouts...Led the Gators with 33 appearances off the bench…Batted .308 (4-for-13) with five runs scored and three RBI in SEC action...Blasted a pinch-hit homer against Northwestern on Feb. 29 for his first career hit...Went 2-for-5 and knocked in a couple of runs in starting debut against Ole Miss on May 16…Scored the game-tying run against Florida State May 12 in the bottom of the ninth inning…UF notched a 3-2 victory over the Seminoles…Came across with the deciding run in the 6-5 edging of Alabama on May 9…The triumph marked the Gators' first series win in Tuscaloosa since the 1988 campaign…Delivered pinch-hit RBI double and later scored in 17-6 defeat of Kentucky…Stroked a base-hit and scored during the SEC opener versus Arkansas on March 19…Slid across the plate on Matt Maley's game-winning double in the bottom of the ninth to nip Purdue, 8-7, on March 5…Has also earned two varsity letters as a quarterback for the Gator football team…Played in five games during the 2004 campaign…Completed 5-of-7 passes for 56 yards and had a four-yard reception against Georgia…Saw time in four games as a redshirt freshman in 2003…Started the first game of his collegiate career by lining up at wide receiver against San Jose State…Completed 3-of-4 passes for 50 yards against the Spartans, including a 29-yard touchdown pass.

SUMMER: Before returning to campus for the beginning of football practice, he started 15 games in center field for the Petersburg (Va.) Generals of the Coastal League in 2004…Scored four runs and belted a pair of solo home runs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner in baseball at Lincoln High School, where he played for head coach Joe Valesse…Helped team to a regional semifinal appearance and 15 wins as a senior…Honorable mention all-state selection in 2001…During his final season, Dickey batted .387 with 20 stolen bases, 15 doubles and four homers on his way to all-district recognition…Chosen as his club's Offensive Most Valuable Player and earned first-team All-Big Bend Conference honors that season…Collected second-team All-Big Bend kudos as a junior by hitting .330 and swiping 15 bags…Picked up second-team all-conference honors as a sophomore, when he batted .315 and had 12 stolen bases…Considered one of the elite football players in the state in 2001 and gained a fair share of national recognition…Reaped consensus prep All-America honors…State of Florida Gatorade Player of the Year Award recipient…Named to the prestigious Parade All-America Team and was a member of USA Today's National Super 25 Team…Named to SuperPrep's All-America team and that magazine ranked him among the country's top four signal-callers…A four-year starter for a Lincoln program that captured two state championships and compiled a 45-5 (.900) overall record in his four years as the signal-caller…Passed for over 2,600 yards with 32 TDs and rushed for 1,000 yards in 2001…Gained over 1,000 yards rushing and passing as a junior…Played in the 2001 California-Florida All-Star Game…High school football coach was David Wilson.
