AS A SOPHOMORE (2006): Pitched a total of four innings over four appearances…Registered four strikeouts and issued seven walks…Worked one inning in the third contest against Vanderbilt…Had a season-high two frames out of the bullpen at South Carolina…Surrendered three hits and one run to the Gamecocks…Made his first collegiate start against Mercer on Feb. 15…Notched two K and walked three batters in his one inning of action.

AS A FRESHMAN (2005): Made seven appearances out of the bullpen during his rookie campaign…Threw 7.2 innings, with six strikeouts and three walks...Was 0-0 with a 5.87 ERA…Tossed a season-high 2.1 innings, allowing four hits and three runs with two strikeouts, against Ole Miss in the semifinal round of the SEC Tournament on May 28…Picked up an inning of work against both Villanova and Michigan State…Saw his first career action versus Florida A&M on Feb. 15 and recorded a pair of strikeouts over two innings without surrendering a hit.

SUMMER: Joined Gator teammates Kris Gawriluk and Tommy Wynn on the Daytona Beach Barracudas of the Florida State Collegiate League in the summer of 2005…Over seven relief appearances, Branham was 0-0 with a 3.00 ERA in 12 innings…Recorded a pair of saves and totaled 18 strikeouts...Appeared in the league's All-Star Game.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed for head coach John Crumbley at Jesuit High School and earned three varsity letters…Chosen as a Louisville Slugger All-American and earned second-team All-America honors from Baseball America following his senior season…Achieved third-team all-state and was first-team all-county…Finished 11-2 with a 1.07 earned run average and registered 160 strikeouts in 78.2 innings…The Tigers were 30-3 overall and advanced to the semifinals of the state tournament…Collected his team's Most Valuable Player hardware and repeated as JHS' Pitcher of the Year…Taken in the 39th round of the 2004 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers…Twirled a five-inning perfect game with 15 K versus Horn Lake…Game was stopped due to the mercy rule…Tabbed as the St. Petersburg Times' Player of the Year as a junior, when he was 8-2 with a 1.23 ERA…Struck out 102 batters in 57 innings for an average of 1.79 K per inning…Picked up second-team all-state and first-team all-county accolades…Jesuit was 25-8 and reached the state semifinals after clinching its second district crown in a row…Threw three consecutive one-hitters that season…Fired a two-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts in the regional final against Fort Myers Bishop Verot…Was a perfect 5-0 as a sophomore with a scant 0.85 ERA in 29.2 innings…The Tigers cruised to a 22-1 record and the district championship…Grew seven inches between his freshman and sophomore year of high school.
