AS A SENIOR (2005): Signed a free agent contact with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim…Concluded his collegiate career with an overall mark of 14 -2 (.875)…Earned his third-straight SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition…Turned in a spotless 4-0 mark over his 26 appearances and notched one save…Used primarily as a match-up pitcher…Totaled 30.1 innings with 25 strikeouts…Registered a 5.04 earned run average, walking only eight batters…Pitched 3.1 innings during the College World Series…Struck out the lone Texas hitter he faced in game one of the CWS Championship Series…Allowed three hits and a pair of runs against Arizona State on June 22…Worked 3.2 innings in the SEC Tournament, but allowed a season-high five runs on seven hits over 1.2 innings to Ole Miss on May 28…Retired Vanderbilt's Mike Baxter on an infield pop-up with a runner aboard in the bottom of the 13th inning to preserve a 2-1 triumph and collect his first save since June 1, 2003…Made a season-long five-inning outing at South Florida on May 11…Allowed five hits and struck out five batters versus the Bulls…Worked two of three games against conference foes Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt...Fired a scoreless inning in the second game in Athens, a 12-1 victory over the Dawgs…Worked two innings, allowing two runs with three strikeouts, against Villanova on March 4…Fanned five Florida A&M batters over 3.2 frames on Feb. 22.

AS A JUNIOR (2004): Selected to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the second year in a row…Made 12 appearances and went 1-0 with a 6.23 earned run average in 17.1 innings on the mound…Did not walk more than one batter in any of his appearances…Notched three strikeouts and allowed three hits during a four-inning stint against Florida State on May 12…Gators pulled out a 3-2 triumph over the Seminoles…Pitched 2.1 scoreless frames to pick up the win over Auburn on May 2…Did not hit a batter during the season.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2003): Earned a berth on the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the first time…Made six starts and posted an overall record of 5-2 and a 4.29 ERA…Rated second on UF in appearances (25), victories (five) and innings pitched (71.1)…Totaled 39 strikeouts and issued 11 walks…Fanned multiple batters in 11 outings…Allowed just six of the 23 baserunners he inherited to score…Delivered at least one K in 18 appearances…Paced the Gators with a team-low 3.09 ERA in SEC action and limited league foes to a .262 batting average…Was a perfect 4-0 as a reliever and compiled a 3.14 ERA in 48.2 innings…Hurled the most frames out of the bullpen on the squad…Earned first career save in the NCAA Regional matchup with Miami (Fla.) on June 1 by pitching the final four innings…Matched career-long effort of 7.2 innings twice, at home against Kentucky (5/17) and on the Plains versus Auburn (5/3)…Surrendered six hits and a run to pick up the 13-4 win over the Wildcats…Whiffed a season-best six in relief against the Tigers…Earned first conference victory after going two innings in a 13-4 decision over South Carolina on April 13…Had worked 3.2 scoreless frames and notched three K against the Gamecocks in the series opener two days earlier…Did not yield an earned run in seven-straight appearances and 8.2 innings from March 19-April 11…Tossed three perfect innings and registered four strikeouts versus Pace in his relief debut on March 12…Collected first win of the campaign against Florida A&M on Feb. 19, when he scattered five hits and allowed one run over six innings with two K.

AS A FRESHMAN (2002): Recognized as an Honorable Mention Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball…Made 21 appearances, including nine starts…Sported a perfect 4-0 record with a 5.40 ERA in 48.1 innings…Struck out 34 batters and issued 13 walks…Made six appearances in SEC play but was not involved in any decisions…Defeated Alabama at the SEC Tournament on May 25, 7-4, with a season-high seven-inning, 88-pitch outing…Pete allowed seven hits and three runs to the Crimson Tide and had one punchout…Tied career best with six K in 5-4 edging of Bethune-Cookman on April 17…Used in relief in the second game of the Tennessee series in Knoxville, Pete threw 1.1 innings of shutout ball…Gators would seize an 8-5 win in 10 innings and wound up taking two of three from the Vols…Pitched three innings during 9-1 romp over Dartmouth on March 20, giving up a hit and a walk, with a couple of K…Struck out a career-high six batters over 5.1 innings to secure an 11-5 victory over Florida A&M on Feb. 13…Claimed his collegiate starting debut against Mercer on Feb. 6 with a pair of strikeouts, no hits and no runs in three frames.

SUMMER: In 2002, he joined Florida teammates Jeff Corsaletti and Connor Falkenbach on the Rochester (Minn.) Honkers of the Northwoods League…Made 11 appearances with a team-leading 10 starts, accumulating a 3-6 record in 61 innings…Ranked second on the team with 67 strikeouts and permitted just 24 walks…Played AAU baseball for the Pinellas Rough Riders under coach Tom Dixon.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2001 graduate of Armwood High School in Seffner, Fla., Pete was a three-year letterwinner for head coach Joey Fernandez…Also lettered one year for Greg Parris at Brandon High School…Two-time first-team all-state selection in Class 4A, two-time all-area and two-time All-Western Conference selection…Named as the 2001 Hillsborough Player of the Year by the Tampa Tribune and St. Petersburg Times…Concluded his high school career with a 33-9 record and amassed over 400 strikeouts…Turned in a 9-1 ledger with two saves, 130 strikeouts and a 0.52 ERA as a senior…Selected as his squad's Most Valuable Player…Finished 10-4 with a 1.07 ERA and struck out 152 batters in 85.1 innings as a junior…Fanned 19 batters in a single game that season…Went 8-3 with 3.05 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 11 appearances and 62 innings as a sophomore… Finished 6-1 with 1.59 ERA, tossed one shutout and registered 46 strikeouts in his first year of high school…Selected for the Team One National Showcase…Three-time Tony Saladino All-Tournament selection (1999-01)…Four-year academic letterman…Was also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Interact Club, the National Honor Society and Senior Steering.
